As far as I know when I placed the order for an eTRAYz, I was told that the order would be shipped only after 1st week of December and as per the old track record of Xtreamer.net, I guess that its bound to be delayed.

Well till now the xtreamer adapter is working fine without any issues.

Also just checked the date to preorder e trayz is only till end of November. After that e-trayz will be available at regular price and the special price offer will be over.

thanks Ashish/ Dushie. I don't recall seeing an end date to order etrayz to avail low price offer. Only end date was to purchase xtreamer. Do you have any links for the same?

how is the performence of youtube on xtreamer ? Till date I have tried apple tv and netgear eva 8000. Apple tv was much better regrading youtube experience and interface.

My comments would not be positive, and they may not be correct either for 2 reasons.

1. I do not have a very fast connection. 512 from airtel
2. I checked on old FW. 1.3.x

But my experience was not good, if that helps. I did not compare the same video on laptop vs xtreamer so not an objective observation.
I hope I will be dusting the xtreamer and try it again in a couple of days. This week caught in status reports, most urgent HUGE tasks at work, weddings

Well 512 kbps isn't a problem. I laso have 512 kbps airtel connection and youtube performed flawlessly. Perhaps the HD versions might have a problem. MY netgear needs firmware update too. It seems the firmwire update will resolve the youtube issue. I am bit hesitant to do it since if there is a power cutoff in between the netgear will go in to sleep forever. Planning to put the house in generator mode to do the update. Your experience was not good in which front. Picture quality or too much buffering problem.

Yes I know the internet radio is now available. I know where to download it from as well. Thanks anyways for posting the link. Will upgrade when I find time, and when the cover up fw releases stop and it is more stable. 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 are also released in quick succession. Hope you are aware.

Can we bring an end to this "cry baby", "not fully justified" kind of statements from your end? I do not need to justify to you - and I hope your justifications are not governed by any financial interests/ beta tester/ moderator affiliations with xtreamer company/ forum.

anm ....good to know that you know where to download Fw update...well you need not justify any one but yourself the fact remains that you have been complaining about a product without even doing the required updates for the features you expect from XMP...as for as my interests financal or otherwise you would know if you have read my earlier posts critising vairious flaws in otherwise a very decent VFM media player...we all are here to disscuss share & help each other with what ever little we know about a product...FYI I DO NOT HAVE ANY INTREST FINANCIAL/BETA TESTER/FORUM Intrest with Xtreamer or any of it's affilates ONLY Intrest is a good VFM product and service being given by Xtreamer guys....guess this satisfys you.

noking - since you decide to carry on this argument further, I request you to go through ALL my posts again. Compile the dates on which I have made complains, see if fw 2.0 was out by that date. Are my posts before fw 2.0.x release or after it?
Have I criticized the service? Pls check my posts again about interaction with Sumit. It has been great.

Are you aiming to get into the beta tester group on xtreamer forum to get a free etrayz? You seem to be trying too hard to earn xtreamer brownie points.

Well i have upgraded to firmware 2.01 and its working great, i am able to watch you tube videos they play well also the streaming is working great through wireless and lan both.

On xtreamer forums the reviews are mixed as some users are very happy with the new firmware while others are not so happy. The firmware is giving mixed response on different units .

I have not updated to latest 2.02 firmware as this one is working well for me, i will wait and watch now for other firmware updates as things are working fine for me in this one.

I have also applied the same firmware on another unit, which my friend bought this week and things are going good there as of now too. :yahoo:

Hi dushie.... Have you noticed any increase in fan noise after update I did a update to 2.02 and I feel that fan noise has increased have tryied all modes low-med-high- your comments & experience pl.

I am planning to buy a USB WiFi 802.11n adapter for the eTRAYz I am going to get soon.

How does this looks @Rs.2,330+150=2480.
Belkin N Wireless USB Adapter

or Xtreamer's USB WiFi is better @1490/-?

I am still on Firmware 2.01 i did not upgrade to 2.02 as everything is working fine. Fan noise is same as in earlier firmware i did not notice any difference.

E-Trayz delivery will start after December 1st which does not guarantee that you will get it within a week , it may take few weeks for people who have ordered to get a delivery.

The reduced price for xtreamer is without the antenna. I am pasting the exact details below -

Xtreamer is being sold in India by Xtreamer India, a unit of M/s. N.V. Trading, New Delhi. The price of a single unit is Rs.8,990/- plus shipping charges of Rs.350/-. Shipping is done by Blue Dart Courier. We have managed to bring down to courier cost because of increasing volume.

USB WiFi adapter is optional @1,000/- for the first adapter with unit. In case anybody wants an extra USB WiFi adapter, that will be for Rs.1,490/-..


So the total comes out to Rs 8990 + Rs 1000 + Rs 350 shipping.

The shipping cost has been reduced now due to increase in volume of shipment.

So the total cost is still Rs 10350 without any free cables.


Also like i informed earlier we bought another box from Sumit this week for my friend in Delhi which he gave at a special price of Rs 9990 along with free home delivery locally in Delhi. ( This offer was specially for me as i had told Sumit a week in advance that i will be buying another unit while this special price offer was on )

So customer service of Xtreamer India rocks. My friend who bought the product was full of praise for the kind of service received.
