It's US (American) Model with same specs but doesn't work with your existing local cable operator moreover it needs a step down transformer as this needs 110v ac so if you buy this you should forget local cable but works with various dth services and for the price factor it is us$899 which comes to inr 40700 only so it is not worth it cos u have to buy another step down transformer which costs 4000

Letsbuy will not sell 110V and it may be an dual version which is manufactured in Korea and please note that they are having direct marketing link with samsung to sell their products with good discounts than other suppliers.As like ebay they used to float 10% / 5% discount coupon in the market which makes the price dearer.

As you said it may be a dual version but it has dvb (atsc/qam)tuner which is available only in countries like USA,Canada etc.,Not available in INDIA
If you want to compare both the models then go ahead

Lot of other things seperate for each item like 2 hdmi in pn51d550, 4 hdmi in ps51d550

yesterday I bought 51d550 for Rs.67.5K here in Hyderabad. So far, I watched SD content (normal cable transmission) and some dvd's on my LG BD player. The SD quality is quite acceptable on such huge screen! Yet to try 3D and HD content. Reflection is not a problem while watching tv. When it is switched off, we can see some glare. I am using the standard setting only and did not try any adjustments.

Congrats pal, great u brought the tv!!! ....now can u answer some questions:

1) u say u didnot notice much reflection,....now is ur room bright?...is there any doors windows in ur tv rom...if so how many & how much ambient/daylight enters the room?.....are the windows & doors behind the tv or opposite/facing the tv?.....how much is the reflection/glare compared to a normal flat crt? *// reflection/glare is my primary fear from buying the tv//*

2) is there any buzzing from ur plasma....if any how much?

3) did u notice any regular brightness/contrast changes in ur tv,particularly while watching dark scenes?

plz answer these answers most sincerely & honestly,since, as u say u own the tv!....this would be a immense benefit to the community!

I bought it at Rishabh Electronics, Mahboobganj, Malakpet. No freebies, except Dish HD connection and one wrist watch (Reebok).
Even less than five feet, the SD content is good. If you are in Hyderabad, you can visit my place to check everything in detail but only after 1st June as I am going out of city tomorrow morning 6 am.

Dish HD COUPON will be given to all, that does not affect the cost... The cost of 63K I got was with all the standard goodies like 1 3D glass and Dish HD connection..

Lets recompile the list of buyers here (we might be able to get the TV shipped to other parts of India by paying around 1 to 2k extra for transportation...

I believe it will be official shipment from Samsung as we are dealing with direct Samsung contact.. I will confirm this tomorrow..

& plz do give a small review of how good u r liking ur tv? & also give some feedback on some apparent issues with the tv(d550) as discussed( in some other communities) like reflection,tv buzzing & frequent brightness/contrast fluctuations particularly while watching dark scenes!

if u can give proper photos & review with issues discussed,...i'm sure more reps will follow!

& @prankey,...plz plz make sure by tomorrow if the delivery to me can be done officially through samsung only, so that no chances of panel damages exist,as plasmas tvs r more fragile in handling & transportation! & i wouldn't fancy a broken panel by making the tv travel so much with third party transporters !

plz do tell(by p.m if preferable) how to pay,if u can finalise the deal at the minimum price u r quoting along with the one free 3d spectacle!

If the deal can go through finally for sure , that would be just simply Fantastic!...hope u can keep up ur good work till the end!
