there is no break in period, as image retention is no more, but
i advice to
1. keep settings less than half of total value e.g. brightness- 50/100, color -40/100 etc...
2. dont manual tune the tv channels
3.keep extra settings like dynamic contrast/ color options , minimal or off
4. keep changing pictures . i.e no still images/ pc desktop/ any high white(bright) pictures..
5. keep 16:9/ zoom to minimize the black bars at top/ bottom. better avoid it by zooming
6. use remote to switch on/ off, never direct off.
i would advise to do this for a week/ approximately 48- 60 hours viewing.
i did for lg tv and got a beautiful picture.. no one told to do, but
like how we set engine in two wheelers i tried this out and got results.
planning to do on my samsung also...
i also recommend to change picture mode from custom to standard every 2/ 3 hours of view, this tuned my lg tv better and got good colour results..
Thank you so much....
I got my TV delivered at home yesterday evening. Samsung guy will come on Monday to wall mount it.
The showroom person fixed it on the desktop stand temporarily, but the sad part is that I have not succeeded to switch on my TV till now. The reason is that the 16 Amp power plug which has come with the TV is not matching with my 5Amp plug point in my living room....I'm now waiting for my electrician to come and resolve the problem...Hope I would be able to switch it on by end of day today
Thanks
Use a surge protector(spike guard) which supports the 16 Amp power plug, dat can resolve your issue widout making any changes to your Switchboard. Works good for me on my 51D550!! Cheers!!
BTW Congrats for your new purchase
Hi,
Of late I have been hearing a lot of these cases about this TV.My worry is ,it is kind of ok if these panel problems occur within warranty. But if the same occurs after that ? I have heard the panel itself costs ~40K.
>So, is the model defective or anything? And a huge risk at 63 k?
>Is there any extended warranty available?
Hope somebody knowledgeable answers I have now become ambiguous about this TV in spite of all it's great features. :indifferent14:
I was given offer to extend warranty for another 2 yrs for Rs5000
