50VT20 offers accross India (Hyderabad - 80k)

Hi,

could someone please tell whether the tata sky+ HD STB that you get with the TV, could it be given to someone else ? am thinking of giving it to my friend (have yet to receive it from croma though). would he be able to activate and use it ? i mean, is the STB bound to be activated only by the purchaser of the TV ?

You will essentially get a coupon from Tata Sky with a face value of 3999/-

Just ensure that the Croma guys do not log it in with Tata Sky on your name and address and you are good to go. As long as it is not logged in it can be used by anyone just like a cheque made out for cash.

With out croma guys creating a case or work order , you wont even get a call from tatasky. Not sure if transfer is an option thou.

If only 'bluepoet06' would post a copy of his bill, we could get other Chroma outlets to match the deal. For some reason 'bluepoet06' refuses to do so. I wonder why.

I got the copy from him. Can share with you if that helps. However, I have learned today that these folks at Croma are working in strict Nexus and infact they were blaming me for getting "my team" of people roaming across other Croma outlets to get the best prices when they are denying giving extra 3D glasses. This is by far a horrible experience with them offending me by such blames when some members confirmed getting offer of 75k with 2x 3D glasses from other Croma outlet.

I don't understand what wrong I did by suggesting those members to check again with those outlets to confirm the offer! The store manager is telling that he get calls when other members try to match the offer which he any way is upfront denying and claiming communication gap and blaming me for "creating" the offer when I had clearly asked if 1 additional glass will come in addition to the one already in the TV box! I couldn't have been crisper in my communication with them to confirm the offer before floating here. Now they seems to be feeling the pinch of agreeing to give the best offer through me when other customers will continue to get higher price. I honestly don't understand why when I follow a win-win model where they can continue to sell at higher prices to non-HFV members and this offer was "exclusively" for HFV members I am bringing from anonymous sources (they never told me to hide the store name or I could have done that to protect their identity).

As we have joined hands here to disclose the best prices, they were absolutely unprepared and now shying away completely from giving the offers to other individuals, infact this Store Manager from JP Nagar even told that he is ready to take a hit if the stock do not sell! This clearly tells their modus-operandi of keeping the prices offered to each customer confidential which we are revealing here and "damaging" their sales!

While I almost convinced myself to buy the TV even at the price point higher than 70k with one glass, such attitude of Croma guys only talk of the ethics they follow to dupe the customers. I agree that the prices might be low what they are quoting, however, what about other Panasonic stores who sold for less than 70k before they "exclusively" hijacked all the quantities? They are sort of blackmailing us by telling that only they have it in stock and HENCE they wont reduce the cost.

This is the reason Milind is also shying away from that offer as he has also got exposed by us and might not have thought that it would get such widespread publicity.

This entire episode talks of the strength we members have across the market and I request all the members to boycott purchase and hold atleast till they agree to reduce the price to the lowest of 68k which one of us got and I have a copy of the bill for the same. Honestly I get quite pissed off with such attitude I quite frequently encounter with the sales guys and that is the reason I wanted other members to be shielded from such HORRIBLE CREATURES and get the best deals possible without us individually taking the pain to deal with such people.

I am with you dude. I am also not afraid that stock's will be gone as the festival season is over.

Holding my purchase till the price comes down with all the freebies.

Also don't accept that dish tv offer. I heard that costs only 100rs in letsbuy and additionally you have to recharge again.

If this episode talks of anything, it is only hfv members are buying this TV and no one else. No one buys plasmas anyways!!

Stop buying for another 15-20 days and they will come down to 65k.

There is always samsung D550 model which has better SD scaling, colours and 50 Hz motion which is being sold much less than this.

First, the Panasonic's pricing arrogance next this Croma bafoons. I sometimes wonder how they were able to sell even a single piece of this TV for 1.6L earlier!!

I really wish samsung comes up with 6+ series plasma next year given their correct pricing and availability. Reflective screen is about the only complaint about the samsung low end plasmas this year and even then they triump panasonic low ends in all departments.

I agree with you. I strongly recommend folks in Bangalore to go with 51D550 today before the price rise of tomorrow and most probably without 3D glasses. They still have 2 quantity left and I am thinking of taking one for myself. Also, 0% finance option with just 1 EMI advance and rest in 10 additional EMI is most probably going today. I am not sure if we will get this pricing even during year end especially with 3D glasses.

Just now visited croma for purchasing a 15A PDU.....surprisingly today I found a demo piece of 50VT20D in display ....the price mentioned was 79999/- with no freebies....when asked to the sales person abt freebies.. he told ..freebies scheme is no more valid and it was only available till diwali....
When I asked him that my friend wants to buy the same tv and what will be the final price ..he replied nothing is possible and 79999 is the final price .....when asked him why so ..he said that they have been instructed from HO strictly not to drop any price on this set as this is in high demand....and he also said me that the price may further increase in couple of days and hence if anybody is interested in buying this than ask him to buy immediately......

Yes, that is the rip off thing they are doing. Before they took all the stocks, it was selling for around 70k with freebies. I still have that offer of 71.5k with all the freebies as communicated by me earlier minus additional 3D glasses, however these folks attitude has completed ticked me off. They just don't want us to seek better prices! Its like they are policing to ensure that no one else get better price.

I think the 2 TVs couple of us bought at higher price has made them greedy and they want to sell on their own instead of through me as they feel they will unnecessarily be cutting down the cost.

This is quite possible.
Here too almost all dealers stopped giving offers which were given for diwali for other TVs. Most offers were apparently valid only till 31st of oct.

This is monkey shit.

I got puna croma ( mr.parmar) offer of 75k with two glasses.ready to shift to nashik free of cost.I thinking to visit their in couple of days to face to face nigoshiashan .Hope to reduce the price upto 71

75k with 2 glasses is a better offer than 71.5k with one glass.
Whats the lowest anyone has got in pune till now?

Folks I am working to get the price of around 65k with 2 glasses for across India deal. Unless we strictly tell them to do so or hold our purchase plans for 15 days, it will be tough for me to do that. It may happen that anytime before then the deal gets cracked, however regular buying despite noticing their attitude will not help either of us!

UT30 is also a reflective screen like the X30. No difference except it is 1080p. Only ST30 and above has the filter.

38k is too much for 42x30! I still have the price for 32.5k for another few days.

And lets not forget that these folks at Croma are first denying initial offer given to me and also mistreated ONE OF THE MEMBER (and thats ME) by blaming for triggering price correction thru my "team"! Have some faith and RESPECT for fellow member who is trying hard to get the best deal for all of us at a fair price for now.

I now take this forum as part of my extended family. Seems not everyone here thinks that way and are only interested in getting better deals either which way!

Hey prankey, Is the offer for all india members?
Not everyone will be willing to transport their plasma TVs for the risk of breaking.
So mostly only bangalore members will be interested.

I had a talk with VRL Bangalore who are willing to transport with transit damage coverage just like what letsbuy and flipkart does.

Also, Croma folks have this logistics facility to move products across stores in India and hence once I get hold of the buyer at Croma who essentially procure and supply across India, he should be able to organize accordingly. Worst case, we may have to pay about Rs.2k for transit damage covered shipping.
