I had a few queries regarding the credibility of the Aramex service. I mean, Is there any buyer's protection scheme as there is in eBay? What happens if your parcel gets lost? Will the seller provide any replacement or money back?

I am considering registering in Aramex after I got a call from the Aramex guy in India and they offered me the 5 dollar only registration fee voucher.

There is no relation between your ebay seller and Shop&Ship, apart from the fact that the ebay seller ships the package to Aramex's address (assuming its you). So once your package reaches Aramex US address, ebay seller's responsibility is over. After that dealing is between you and Aramex. Once you receive it in your hands and if there's any problem then you may use ebay buyer protection (ofcourse if your problem is covered under it).

I am not sure if Aramex provides insurance with their shipping service. They do not charge separately for it, so may be not. You can ping them on FB or twitter to confirm this.

Aramex will cover only $100 worth damages. They did tell me that international shipments are handled with care so the chances of equipment damage are very rare.

Guys ,i just got an Amp thru amazon- Aramex 2 weeks back
reached in 1 week flat .
extremely well packed & handled .no issues .
only thing is to give the big amounts of shipping etc in cash to the delivery guy
great service

aramex is very good handling packages , happy with my galaxy S that i ordered from them .
for second time i booked one captivate 32GB in mint condition for my cousin, will reach in 5-7days .
Paid practically half of MRP

Oh! u must check the shipping with calculator in the shop n ship site before ordering .
heavy items are loss ,if u ship via aramex due to shipping .unless you need it badly and is not available here .

Do amazon take indian CCARDs ? i am happy with ebay all the time hasslefree!

How are the conditions of packages delivered by aramex. I got a mobile and the package was damaged badly, It was cut open and then sealed by aramex in their cover and by chance the phone was not damaged. How are your experience with aaramex. How much tax is charged on mobiles got from ebay. (1.3%?)

Thanks for the link. However I did a spot check on prices and they are on the higher side as compared to US websites. Say for example a refurbished Nokia C3 phone costs around 240USD which is even higher than a brand new C3 in India.

i did the calculator on site as well as thier relationship manager i have also confirmed the details including customs.in my case though it was heavy ,it was still cheaper than here landed and best part it isnt launched here .
so i went for it

yes, you may contact SnS on twitter or FB with price and weight of your item and they will give you an estimate based on "Customs Assessed Value" of your item. Now this, "Customs Assessed Value", is a very volatile term.. so practically nobody (i feel custom officers themselves are divine people so no nobody on Earth can match their thinking and assess accordingly ) can calculate the exact custom charges, although you can definitely get a rough idea for your own reference.
