Regarding your purchase, if 925 is at the same price as 850 then I guess you shud indeed go for 925. Full array is always better than edge.
However, you might be aware of the haloing issue common on the 925. If that doesn't bother you, you are good to go.

What is the real pressing need? Surely, you can wait a couple of months. TVs are not going to run away. But if you are going to get a wonderful, nay killer, deal on HX850, then go for it.
Both my tv and monitor stopped working simultaneously. Haven't played on my ps3 since the past two months :|
Edit: hx 850 is for around 89k, while the ex/ nx are for 60/65.. Huge price difference bro! Do you see the price of hx850 coming down by 20k?! :/

yup sony american website got email from them im also eager to get my hands on a new tv they r starting delivery endind april which means at earliest ending may we might see them here in india

To my surprise, the paud road showroom went out of stock suddenly for 925 when I went to buy it, even the display piece was sold out! hard to believe but true.
Anyway, happy (seriously, no regrets at all) to share..... Have purchased 55hx850 finally as had already finalised a decent deal. Got the active speaker aluminium stand free as part of it alongwith discount on mrp. Happy and excited to welcome to new toy! its being delivered today and will get installed on saturday. Yeh!!!
