Bravia HX850 successor -W900A with Quantum Dot !

Actually my colleague is scouting for a large >= 55 inch tv with a budget of 1.5 to 1.7 lakh.
With so many choices like the new sammy plasma f8500 and w900a, can anybody please tell the probable price of w900 55 inch?
Thanks.

Yes I agree with avmax, W900 will be priced atleast at 2.3-2.5 lacs for 55". 46" might be available around 1.6 lacs or so. If it is priced anything lesser, I will be pleasantly surprised.

true i also have decided against w900a as prices are going to be on higher side. so im thinking abt 47inch w802a . one advantage it has it comes with passive 3d ,for my liking its better and cheaper option than active 3d,hopefully would be buying it in next month or so...

As some of us may have learnt by now, the 2013 range of Sony LED TVs have started to appear. Waiting for these for a long time, and not having seen any ads, I went to a nearby dealer this evening to ask and was pleasantly surprised to see and be informed that a few models had already been released silently. In fact I could see a 32" model on display - KDL-32W600A. The W670A (32" only) and W650A (32" / 42") have been released. Changes are cosmetic, mostly in looks and software (X-Reality Pro instead of X-Reality). And yes, one good bit of news is that these TVs will now support multi-format for USB though whether that means .mkv remains to be seen. The salesman told me that another higher-end model has been released today, a 42" IPS panel with passive 3D. The price is in the region of Rs 80000. This will probably replace the HX750 model. Other models are expected to follow. The W900 series will be the ones with real changes, but they'll cost a bomb as well.

I am eager to see 900A to see the effect of quantum dot technology on pq. I think sony will offer pq benifits commensurate with the high price. Just like hx850.

Yes, people who saw the W900A are of the opinion that it offers a "big" upgrade over the HX850 in terms of PQ.

:)

In addition, the sound is absolutely outstanding from the magnetic fluid built in speakers

Cool...

Two things may be of interest to a few:

USB Play: Yes (USB viewer supports FAT16, FAT32, exFAT and NTFS file systems.)
DLNA File Support: MPEG1/ MPEG2PS/ MPEG2TS/ AVCHD/ MP4Part10/ MP4Part2/ AVI(XVID)/ AVI(MotionJpeg)/ MOV/ WMV/ MKV/ WEBM/ 3GPP/ MP3/ WMA/ LPCM/ JPEG/ MPO

in indian version w802a motion flowXR is 400 in us and uk version it is 480 will it make any diffrence??

That's due to the use of PAL/NTSC standard difference. In US/UK it's 60hz and x2 from there (NTSC), whereas in Asia/India (PAL) its 50hz and x2 onwards.

So 400 and 480 is SAME. No difference. Just video broadcast standard difference
