As some of us may have learnt by now, the 2013 range of Sony LED TVs have started to appear. Waiting for these for a long time, and not having seen any ads, I went to a nearby dealer this evening to ask and was pleasantly surprised to see and be informed that a few models had already been released silently. In fact I could see a 32" model on display - KDL-32W600A. The W670A (32" only) and W650A (32" / 42") have been released. Changes are cosmetic, mostly in looks and software (X-Reality Pro instead of X-Reality). And yes, one good bit of news is that these TVs will now support multi-format for USB though whether that means .mkv remains to be seen. The salesman told me that another higher-end model has been released today, a 42" IPS panel with passive 3D. The price is in the region of Rs 80000. This will probably replace the HX750 model. Other models are expected to follow. The W900 series will be the ones with real changes, but they'll cost a bomb as well.
