Should really thank you guys who got these circuits to the HifiVision community.
"Urge to meet perfection!" keeps me going...Sad that quality Cab materials are not easily available. Have to take shortcuts and round-abouts to overcome. But yeah! :D we can produce fab looking cabs with whatever are accessible around. :licklips:

That is excellent build. Nice layout.
How the faceplate is attached?

Om, no Screws attached ! :p ... Front plate is supported by the 2 Pots and their nuts..
Again back plate is supported by all the RCA sockets screwed through the holes. So looks neat without any screws protruding and also gives a good aesthetic sense to the cab.
Planning to get the stickering done for all the inputs and output in light grey sticker from a local car stickering guy. Or maybe i will just leave it as it is :D..

Great work Vincent :clapping:

I am also looking for a cabinet. Can you guide me where Pooja electronics is on SP road. I would like to try if i can get one.

Well Joseph, when you are coming from the Townhall side, you have to take the second right. 1st Right would be speaker babu, ignore that and proceed to the next right...its the 4th shop on the right. You can see amp cabinet face plates hanging in the front..

Can SSP be paired with DIY STK459 amplifier?
I have one which I paired with WFD 10.2 speakers though I found sound to have spread and detailed but was lacking that mid range tonality. Some what lacked musicability. I was gone through this thread and have got convinced that SSP might provide necessary kick. STK based amplifier is doing well with volume levels , thus at very low levels also it drives WFD to comfortable levels. Sachin , O Mishra can kindly through some light.

Hi adie,

By using SSP and op-amp combo you can tweak the sound to your liking :

Opamp - sound signature

2134 - Laid back sound with good bass
4562 - Neutral with slightly less bass
49990 - Neutral with good bass and treble :licklips:
1612 - Slightly bright with good bass

Hope this helps

It should work well IMO.You can try it with OPA2134 and upgrade later if you like the sound.

Perfect review Sir.I would also add Opa2107 which is called poor man's Opa627/637.OPA2107 costs Rs1250+ so I don't suggest it on first time.It has a laid back sound(less than 2132/34)with better imaging and good detail and tight bass.

Sachin

Hi got prompt response from Murali and Sachin.
Small querries
1. For supply can 12-0-12 volt transformer be used with power supply instead of R- Core
2. How can sub pre out signal generated ?
3. Is there anything called Super Simple DAC for DIY with results as good as SSP ?

I have felt that certain frequencies can be substantiated by Sub presence. How does that fit - in preamp or DAC ?

Too many questions. Let me answer in my experience.
1. You can use EI in place of Rcore and 12-0-12 will also do. Only limit I suggest avoid using this PS for phono preamp while EI in place. Because EI Trafo couples more mains noise into PS ground floor.
2. For that you will need separate PCB board.
3. I think this could help you.

IMO stereo setup is for music listening and enhancing music experience by flat response could be done with quality speakers without presence of sub. Btw this is my own view and people may chip in for better suggestions.

All,

finally my expensive knobs landed from Hongkong. Integrated LSA and the knobs. I am really impressed by the outcome.

2. RCA sockets (gold Plated - MX)30*9= 270 Rs
3. Power Cord = 50 Rs

Total Cost = 972 Rs
