Hi Ali, any update on the wooden racks?? Pictures if any would be most appreciated..looking forward excitedly to getting the rack.. We also have to make the balance payment so let us know the schedule ..

yep

the racks are being processed

the 4*2 teak wood columns were planed to size and right angles yesterday
the slot cutting will be done on an NC programmed machine by this weekend

the slots will be cut 1mm smaller than the thickness of the planks because i do not want to take the chance of them being loose
so during final fitting the carpenter will have to file off an mm

the planks for the shelves will be joined using the aluminium rods

the planing to size is complete

i will give upgates once the shelves are ready and the slots are cut

option 2

i am unable to ship currently

i have got too busy with the upcoming exhibition

however i will try to see if my staff can manage without me

however
i am sorry for the delay in shipping

the what hi fi show has be a bit tied up

final
90 degree cuts

shelves were braced today

need to inspect tomm for inaccuraries

hello all

i regretfully inform of
some Bad news ( or good news - depending on how you take it )

7 racks were ordered in the group buy
3 were to be Option A
the rest were option B - fully assembled and sanded and polished

this is what has happened in the night shift
ALL 7 racks were fully assembled with araldite and screws

i am truly sorry for the error

i know this puts a spanner in for those who selected option b
Gopi, george O and panditji

This raises shipping costs considerably
which now i will bear due to the error

however i request the above three members to consider allowing me to charge them assembly and fitting charges

Please be assured that assembly done on my end is done professionally by an entire team and would probably be better than what a single carpenter would do at your end
we have used araldite rather than fevicol and 2 wood screws per column per shelf using pneumatic machinery

i have spoken to panditji
he is fine

i need confirmation from GOPI and George O
if they are Ok with the above
or i will have to rework their jobs

Taking apart the rack is out of question
it has been assembled like a rock
and i wouldnt want to break it down

You will now no longer have use for a carpenter

you can directly call the polish wala
who will do the sanding , lambi work if necessary to fill up inaccuracies in the knots
and then do the polish and melamine

please note the shelving is a differnt wood from the Teak columns
hence when you tell the polishwala "natural"
you will automatically end up with a 2 tone rack
the columns being a darker shade than the shelves

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
