Steps followed -
1) Extracted the audio and converted to AC3.
2) Removed header stripping using mkvmerge
3) unchecked the original audio in tsmuxer and used the extracted ac3 in step 1 to mux to .m2ts

Play back failed though :/

The original file has no header stripping ..so you could avoid that step..though post the mediainfo of the muxed m2ts file here which is not playing.

Try this--
1.Load it to Hdstream extractor and convert to AC3 in run-time.
2.Then add it to tsmuxer..add new audio file.uncheck dts audio..mux and try to play it.

Thanks for your post. I purchased Sony BX350 after muxing vob file and tested it on BX350 at showroom. I was planning to buy LG earlier after knowing that sony does not support vob file format from USB. I had video converted software but it takes hell lot of time. This is excellent solution.
Again thanks a lot for your very useful post. Keep posting other Bravia related post.

As far as I know this encoding is done enabling open gop setting in x264 encoder.

This setting is used to increase efficiency of encoding but results in unsupported to various hardware media players.

If it was disabled in encoder setting would come as open_gop=0 and if it's enabled it will not be present in encoder setting.

Now for this clip open gop is enabled..so can't be played here...it need a reencode and can't be played by muxing in tsmuxer as I suggested.

Hi lake1988, I appreciate your effort in creating such an useful thread :clapping: . Really it is very helpful..... Today, i muxed a 1.13 GB mkv file (complete movie) to mp4 with video and audio being H264 and aac respectively using Avidemux 2.4. Movie is playing perfectly upto around 25min and then saying play back not supported. Same thing happened for one more video file of size 1GB where i converted .avi to .mp4  I am using sony bravia 40nx650........................ please help regarding this dude

For the first video I would suggest you try my method using tsmuxer...sometime if the media stream is broken this type of error occurs..upto that time media stream is continuous but it may be broken after that..if you use tsmuxer you will be aware about it at the time of muxing in tsmuxer..cause anytime if the media stream is broken it will automatically stop muxing.

Why are you converting avi file to mp4..AFAIK avi is supported in bravia if the video codec inside it is xvid/divx but not avc(mpeg-4 part 10).

Yes tsmuxer support vob also..you can use the join option to join multiple vob file to get a full length movie.

If you are connecting your laptop to tv just connect it through ethernet only..you don't need any router for this. Do not put any internet ip information in laptops ipv4 properties or in network settings of tv...both will connect automatically.

Can we connect TV and Laptop directly using ethernet :O . I will check it now,,,,, thanks

Can you mux it using tsmuxer as I mentioned in the first post and see if the same thing occurs..

Thanks lake1988 tsmuxer is working.... basically before tsmuxer used to crash when i load some videos so i used avidemux. Now its working

If you are connecting your laptop to tv just connect it through ethernet only..you don't need any router for this. Do not put any internet ip information in laptops ipv4 properties or in network settings of tv...both will connect automatically.
I tried this yar but laptop is not detecting TV. Can you please explain how to connect laptop to bravia using ethernet......it will be very helpful

If you load unsupported video extension like avi, loading mkv file where video codec got header stripping enabled it will crash.

For connecting using ethernet cable-
1.In laptop go to Local area connection adapter-->Properties-->IPv4 settings-->Properties-->select obtain IP address automatically and DNS address automatically.
2.In TV press Home button-->Settings-->Network-->Network Set up-->Set up network connection-->Auto.
3.Connect TV and pc with cable.
4.Start Mezzmo server or something like that..I forgot what's exactly called it..you have to start it from Mezzmo application in pc.
5.Now Press Home in tv-->Media-->Video-->here you can see mezzmo server icon.
6.Now you have to add content in Mezzmo library in pc..also you have to select type of DLNA device you are using..you have to select sony bravia tv.
7.Now select the mezzmo icon in tv and press enter..you will see the added videos.

Thanks lake for your help....... direct connection is also working good but still streaming is very slow with Mezzmo but not with windows media player... But media player not supporting all formates............. i installed Homestream aswell. Homestream is detecting my TV but TV is not showing Homestream server.............. any inputs???

Have you restarted your pc after installing home stream?

Home in tv-->Media-->Video-->here you will see the home stream server..

There is a option called refresh internet content..if you can apply this that server icon should appear.

Dear Lake,

My Sony Bravia 40EX650 arrived yesterday bought after reading lots of your recommendations in different posts. I have normal setup box connection using cable TV and am very disappointed by the quality rendered by Bravia. The quality of the Skyfall trailer bundled with Sony pen drive was brilliant though.

I am pretty sure it is due to the upscaling of the cable content delivered by setup box which I believe must be 700p. My set up box just has analog output (yellow white red). What are my options? Also, I have a cheap DVD player with same analog output and that content was stretching as well, although a bit less than set up box.

Thanks,
Vikas

hi i have downloaded 3d video in mkv format for sony bravia hx750 to play it via usb(formated in exfat) but it is in dual audio (hindi/english) and when i add the file in tsmuxer it shows error loading file, but i converted simple mkv. 3d video (not dual audio) with tsmuxer it played without any problem. please help me to solve the problem.
