Is E6 the best LED that Panasonic has ever produced?

That's to much. May be the dealer you bought from have that in stock but wanting to sell at higher price. It's a very nice TV and I would buy it if it's available in 51" as 64" is too much for me. GT50 popped up on Snapdeal.

Well things get interesting. I went on the samsung website and complained to the CEO office. Got an email that they are unable to reach me a while back. Called back spoke to a lady named Shweta from customer experience program and she asked for the dealer details and i narrated my story to her. She asked me to wait for a while as she would talk to the dealer and would call back. Got a call within 10 minutes, she said that she had spoken to the dealer and the sales office, i would be getting a TV by Monday evening. If not she asked to give her a call on Tuesday morning.

Let's see what happens now, i blasted her saying i spent 2 lakhs on a TV and dealer is saying Samsung is not giving stock, what the hell is happening here.

Keeping my fingers crossed, let's see what happens and how many more follow ups it would take.

Hope so, if not i will make sure i take their class as i have waited for nearly 3 weeks for my TV. I told her clearly i am not interested in refund as that's the next thing mostly dealer would offer as i bought the TV during Diwali time and i would not go back and start looking for another tv.

I am planning to get 50e6d by the end of december and i have 2 questions.

1) How to check usage hours in 50e6?

2) How to eliminate soap opera effect in this model?

Kindly answer :)

Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Intelligent Frame Creation : Off

This is in plasma and hopefully, it will be in LED too.

Price they quote for 50e6 is 80.5k . From what i read in this forum it should be around 75k.What is the reasonable price of this model so that i can negotiate it during the new year time?

Panasonic 50e6 led or Samsung 51f5500 plasma which is better? For samsung they quote 76.5k

Both these models were not availabe for demo.I saw only pany 32e6 and samsung 51f4900 so your suggestion would be helpful for me to decide between 50e6 and 51f5500

Samsung F5500 is a plasma smartTV with active 3D while Pana E6 is LED smartTV without 3D. I would go for Samsung F5500 any day of the week. You can also check the Panasonic 50S60 if 3D is not a big deal.

Thanks for the reply.Cannot find panasonic plasmas here as this is a small town and most of the shops here have Led's (all brands) and samsung plasmas only.

3d is not my priority. Pq should be excellent that's the main criteria.Since both these models were not available for demo in the showroom i am not not able to decide  but shortlisted these 2 models after reading good reviews in this forum and going to get one of these during new year time :).

Which tv has better pq? If anyone has viewed both these models pls give your opinion.

F5500, wins no doubt on the same, in terms of PQ, features and viewing angles. Can't compare both.Only thing to consider is the room where the tv will be used, will you be able to control light and how bright it is.

If very bright room with lot of light you need to go for E6. If you can control the light in the room then go for plasma. Plasma's PQ looks best in dark rooms.

I read in cnet review where katzieme says that f5500 is worse than s60 in well lit rooms.

Can be, but ideally the best PQ will come in a room where you can control light. But, the choice is between the E6 and F5500. The location where he is in may not have Panny plasma in stock. But he should give it a shot if availability is there, another issue is that he can't demo the sets and is going on the feedback in the forum given by end users, which is a bit of a challenge as what looks good to one may not look nice to another.

So ideally he should buy what pleases to his eye best.

Sorry. For a while I just forgot that the comparision is between f5500 and e6. Thought it was about s60.
Anyways f5500 is a very good plasma. 2013 whathifi award winner. So no need to think twice.
Only issue is reflections. If light in the room can be controlled, there shouldn't be any issues in my opinion too.
So we have two 2013 winners here.
One plasma and one led. it boils down to individual tastes. Do you like plasma picture or led picture. As simple as that.

Not a dark room so my first choice as of now is e6 and if they give 3 yrs warranty during new year as they did during diwali it will be very nice.
