I am new to this forum as well to the audiophile world. I would like to join the Mumbai HFV Meet 2001 on December 11, 2011.

I am willing to donate promptly Rs.10,000/- or some more amount provided some other member is ready to donate a equivalent amount.

I was considering to donate some amount even if there is none from other respective members but then i feel if no one else will be interested to be a part of this good gesture then i too should keep away.

So i will stick to my original writing a few days back where i said am willing to donate if others chip in.

I wanted to join the meet on 18th December which was originally planned but the date was shifted to a earlier date and unfortunately i am travelling from 2nd to 13th December.

Hey guys..... albite I'm nowhere nerlar Mumbai and am not gonna be a part of this event. But I've been following thus thread regularly.... in expectation of learning more about the AV stuff and eagerly waiting for the outcome of the tests that you're gonna carry.

Here's a suggestion. Since you guys are in the vicinity of many well known recording studios, why don't you try and get some good recording artiste to join the meet. Guess it should be really helpful to know the views of an insider of audio industry on the gears on anvil.

Here's a suggestion. Since you guys are in the vicinity of many well known recording studios, why don't you try and get some good recording artiste to join the meet. Guess it should be really helpful to know the views of an insider of audio industry on the gears on anvil.

I am not sure of how many persons have actually gone to a studio [ever] or listened to music in a place where it was created. It will be interesting - trust me.....
We will all learn a lot - some 'senior' forum member - organizer - should take the initiative & arrange for this in Jan / Feb of 2012.

BUT none of us organisers are knowing any expert who is a recording artiste or part of recording studio. So, if you or any body else following this thread know such a person(s) then pls forward his contact details to us.

In the meantime let us concentrate of getting the 1st mumbai meet off to a good start & post completion of it, think of future events. Makes sense right???

Well - I do not have a direct contact in any studio, but I can get a 'session' fixed @ Genelec Demo Room.

We can meet on the 11th & discuss it, if members are willing, I can take the matter forward. I am sure some arrangement can be arrived @....hyeah:

Not that I know anyone who could get us an entry, some of the best audio studios in Mumbai, in no particular order (as per a friend who knows such things!):

1. Ranjit Barot's studio below Mahalakshmi flyover (of all places!)
2. Yashraj studios, Andheri West, near Fun Republic off Linking Road
3. Famous studios, Mahalakshmi
4. Modi Digital, Goregaon W (I'd been here long, long ago and they used huge JBL floorstanders as monitors, and they told me ARR frequents this place)
