what u mean by LG logo? do you mean the tv OSD Menu? any pics you can share? also you got the B6 or E6?

Cheers.

Thanks buddy! I found it on the back side also. I didn't see it well first time. The LG guy misguided us, he said it's not there and the front on should not be removed. This is just so untrue. Please see the link here and both must be removed before first use else it screws the picture quality and the panel itself. Am so angry on that technician now!

LG OLED Screen Protecion Film to be removed before using the TV | LG India

the lg guys who come for installation are stupid, i understand what your sayiny :ohyeah:

LG OLEDs do suffer from image retention but burn-in is extreme. I see image retention but limited to black bars after movie marathon. It clears up in a few minutes.

HDMI handshake seems to be the biggest bother for me right now in my current set up. All things in place, the OLED does not read metadata from various connections. I have connected my AVR to OLED through ARC. Tata Sky goes into the AVR while Oppo is connected directly to the TV. Though my AVR is 4K compatible, it does not read HDR and Dolby Vision, which is why I have tried Roku directly connected to TV as well as through the HDMI (input) of the Oppo. In either case, I do not see the HDR or Dolby Vision settings come up. So, it is not like it never happens, it does sometimes and sometimes it does not. Apart from the ones that did not work at all, I am using Monoprice Premium and Audioquest Pearl, which are both supposed to be 18gbps. Issue is haphazard performance of these two brands. The Oppo though is connected to the TV with Oppo's HDMI cable. Haven't tested it as I do not have the requisite discs.

Would like to know if anybody here has figured out HDMI cables that work stably for HDR and Dolby Vision content? It would be nice if you guys put that down for those struggling.

Does Oppo HDMI input support HDR? I didn't think that would work.

My 4K discs and blu-ray player are on the way. Hopefully I can test them in 2 weeks.

I am using HDMI cables that came with Panasonic BDT700 4K upscaling (not native) BDP. Must say, Panasonic upscaling of SDR is fantastic.

I have Blujeans connected from BDP to soundbar. AmazonBasics from TV to soundbar and one more from MacBook to TV.

I had AudioQuest Pearl connected from BDP to TV but sadly picture stuttered.

You are correct. Just checked at AVSForum. They said not yet.

I think for sound AmazonBasics or Blue Jeans would work. Amazon Basics did not work for me for HDR and DV. I think it has 1.4 protocol. Like I said, Monoprice and Audioquest Pearl at best have been temperamental. Have you got any external media player to play Netflix or Amazon?

This one will work: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B014I8SP4W/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apap_73ss2TtLICANm

I use built-in streaming apps. Does good job. Not buying external devices since Panasonic UB900 that I plan to buy supports Netflix and YouTube HDR. Too early to buy lots of stuff as HDR standard is still evolving. Not to mention the high price of 4K discs.

What your 4K sources?

guys when i bought my tv a month back i was told it comes with 1+1 year warranty, 2 years is for the panel only, when during installation the monkeys that installed my tv said a gold card with 2 year panel warranty gold card will come to you by mail, never got it, any of you guys got this so called gold card which is for the 2 year panel warranty? dunno if i should get paranoid

Havent received any such card.

Watched Skyfall the 2nd time. OLED is the best to watch movies. I have updated the settings now that panel has almost clocked 250 hours.

Panasonic BDT700 is high class at upscaling. It outputs at 4:4:4 8 bit with 24p Output enabled. Without it the LG's own upscaling and chroma struggles a bit. Very evident on Watchmen BD.

Any 65" LG owners ? Can you please share your ownership experience. Performance against the Sony's and Samsung's Planning to get one..

I have lip sync issues with TataSky on my C7 while the inbuilt apps for Amazon Prime and Netflix works fine. Yet to test a movie on my Oppo so can't say for the UDP player.

I have plugged TataSky directly into the TV as well as have tried routing it via UDP 203. The sync issue persists.

Anyone else have the issues and if yes, how to fix it? I am playing using TV's speakers.
