QUAD 33-303 Pre & Power Amplifier
To the B6 owners here, what is the tv software version on your sets?
mine shows 04.30.65 & i can see in the lg website that a later version is available "04.31.10" When i click on check for updates in the tv software version i get no prompts that an update is there, what version are your tv software running on?

That's what I'd felt in demo. Especially coming from plasma it felt like you gained something (deeper blacks) but you lost something too due to black crush.


Ppl said you can calibrate it out but that's probably only with ISF professionals who aren't here in India.
 
2017 LG OLED models are available for 24% off the MRP when I last checked. The new models looks like a slight but decent upgrade over 2016 in terms of picture.

doesn't matter, the mrp is over inflated this time :-p very happy with my 55B6 & no regrets for the price i got it for.

I am told prices may go up next month once new units are imported from Korea.

Can someone share the right calibration settings for E6 OLED here? There are many varities online so not sure which is right one? Ofcourse eacl panel is different!
 
I usually watch in Dark Room mode with very little light source. For a brighter room you can just change gamma to 2.2.

OLED LIGHT: 60 - 65 (adjust as required)
Contrast: 85
Brightness: 52
H Sharpness: 0
V Sharpness: 0

Expert Controls
Colour Gamut: Normal
Gamma: BT.1886
(rest all set to Off)

White Balance -> Method 2 Points -> Outer -> High
Red: -5
Green: 0
Blue: 1

White Balance -> Method 20 Points IRE -> Outer
IRE: 5
Adjusting Luminance: -3

Colour Management System
Green: -4, -3, 0 (S, T, L)

Picture Options
Real Cinema: On
True Motion: Off

LG is replacing my E6 with C7. The E6 is brighter on the left side than rest of panel that gets irritatingly distracting in dark scenes. I have asked for E7 instead of C7.

I will lose 3D which will be shame.
