LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LW6500 Owner's Thread

Yes..... 55" LG LW5700 installed today.
4 pair of glasses + Motion Control Remote.
8GB PenDrive with 3d content (will be getting it by monday)

Now the biggest Q .. here is ..... where to get 3D Content

i have many 1080P 3D movies for Analytic RED/BLUE glass.
but i dont think its gonna work for Cinema 3D..

Guys please help me out.....

Anaglyphic might work if you have the Red Blue glasses but it would give you headaches watching it for long time. Also the quality will be average. SBS 3D movies is the way to go.

Got my TV for 75k+3k Octroi in Pune with 4 glasses and magic remote! This is the minimum I could get. Almost everyone quoted 80-85k!

I went to the local LG store, the regual 2 pack box which come with the TV cost 1100, the clip on ones cost 2200! The same are available from Amazon US for 16$!

@CountRock ... where did you buy it in Pune ? Was quoted 79k without magic remote final in Ezone with 1 Rupee downpayment scheme of Future Money.

How much did you pay? Croma here at my place wasn't selling it for less than 78K.

How's the TV? Let us know your thoughts on it.

Hi All,
I see lot people have got their LW5700 42" sets around Rs. 74K. I am from Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and the price quoted to me here is 88K with a exchange offer price of 78K, with sensor remote. I fail to understand that why the difference is so high in pricing with various locations in the country. Anybody help on this.........

I am also from aurangabad . ialso enquired in two lg shops ,the price forlw5700
is 80k and for lw6500 it is 9ok ,where u enquired for 78k

Saniya Distributors - LG Shoppe - Ganpati Offer - Exchange price 78K (Rs. 10 K off on exchange)

Where did you get quotes for 80k for lw5700? Any Freebies offered ?

Hi,
I bought a LW5700 3D TV recently. I am trying to give the audio output to a Home theater(Philips SP 080).
But When I connect it to the home theater, the volume is very very low. Please help me if there are any ways to make the volume better. Otherwise there is no option than changing the home theater.

I am just confused between usb and 3d blueray player, are they give same result for 3d if yes why we need costly blueray 3d player?

What is the difference between them?

The format support through the USB port that the LG has is limited when it comes to Audio. Most of the video will play fine but without Audio (if the audio tracks are DTS or higher)

Blueray 3D will ofcourse support all the Blue Rays (and most other files through USB too if it has the USB port) but Blue Ray Disks are costly.

I would suggest getting a Hard Disk Media player like the ACRyan playonHD (costs around 10K) or the PopCorn Hour. Almost all the Audio and video codecs will be supported. There is nothing in the 3D format that these Media players can't support. In fact I would not suggest anybody to buy a TV just on the USB functionality. It's mostly useless unless the manufacturer supports it with continous Firmware upgrades.

I am using a PlayonHD to view my 3D movies. Works perfectly normal.
