Hello,
I bought LG LW6500 47" around a month ago. Display is good for almost all contents. 2D as well as 3D are very smooth and enjoyable to watch. My recommendations is to keep minimum 720p media as contents with 720P or higher definitions makes movie experience real fun.
I have attached my Hard disk with TV and it works perfectly. Picture quality through Harddisk is much better than when you connect Laptop/PC with the LCD.
There are some flicks when TV have troubles playing directly. But it is mainly due to Audio Codecs of the movies. Otherwise it can play almost every popular format like MKV, divx, xvid etc. I personally like mkv.
3D viewing is pretty good and it is very very similar to theatre 3D experience. There is strain while watching 3D but it is much much much lesser than Active 3D. I compared it with Sony, samsung and panasonic. I found sony least attractive as their 3D is trash. Samsung has no parallel in 2D but 3D is far from enjoyable for more than 10 mins. Pansonic 3d is very good but LG rocks. In one case i can pause the movie and still enjoy the 3D effect without any ghosting, flickering. On Active one can find it bit noisy.
Sound quality of TV is just passable but who cares when you invest over 1 lakh in tv you also buy some Home theatre kind of setup.

Regarding inputs from remote, both are good and dont feel cheap in hands. i liked motion remote, its like mouse in air but effective.
Also one can use USB hubs and increase the number of USB ports available.

Do anyone have 1st hand experience in playing 2TB on your LG TVs?

I got it a month back for 74k with 4 glasses, hungama voucher and dvd pack... If u do a good bargain, i am sure you can get it for less than 74k , aay at 70k for sure... give a hard try... i am sure u will be there... also, suggest u to go for warranty at least for 2 additional yrs... as this is pretty expensive stuff u r buying... better to secure it...

Hi Guys,I bought a 47lw6500 last 28th Oct from Bajaj showroom at Chikadpally, hyd.I was told that We'll have it delivered by 2 weeks.Almost one month later we still haven't got it and we're aren't getting an exact date on when we'll have it.They were saying for a while that there is no stock in Hyd for that model and they have to order it from Noida. But even that has been a couple of weeks. So I'm just curious as to how long it took you guys to get the TV and any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks,Guys :)

I am interested to buy one. Is the shop LG Shoppe? I got a quote of 73 from LG Shoppe.

I can bring him down if we grab 2 sets...

It was a LG showroom (all the boards around the shop had LG written and only LG products were there). 70K is the first price he quoted to me after I had taken the demo, shown interest in buying. I did try to bargain further but he said its the best price he can give me. I think he did say though that when you come to buy we can see if we can do more. So maybe of two of us go we can bargain :)!

Am out for a week though.....so lemme know :)
