Hi Friends,

I am facing problem with my newly purchased 42LW5700. On switching it ON, randomly I see a green scrambled screen instead of actual picture. This is not happening every time I switch it on but may be once in 10-15 times. I managed to click the picture last time it happened yesterday (image inclosed below).

I am really worried - whether it is a major problem and something to do with hardware. I am wondering whether I should take this up with LG as TV is new and in warranty. Has anybody come across something similar?

I have been updating the firmware regularly and recently updated it to v. 4.03.13.

Please advise, if this is serious?

Any suggestions / inputs will be highly appreciated.

one week ago I bought 42lw5700 and HB806TM together for Rs.96000/-

Very much impressed with this tv and aweaome quality sound of home theatre ......

downloaded some youtube 3d videos and watched it and awesome quality 3d depth I found....


search through the internet for tricks and trips for lw5700 and found this forum usefull so registered here....

anyone can tell me if any remote codes for secret menu are there .....

I want to use idea netsetter on it if possible

I had once bought a digi-cam from Dubai. It was with international warranty however there wasn't any card that was given but the bill mentioned the international warranty. I asked for it and hence they mentioned in bill, or any other depending on dealer.

The warranty was honored in India when i faced an issue with the camera and sony center fixed it without any charges.

I don't think LG India would even care about it now since it is not purchased from here.

Saw this post only now. Can you give me details of the shop you purchased. If you can sent me a copy of the invoice I can check here in Dubai about the warranty issues you are facing.
This model is not having PIP feature, I personally saw this model and confirmed.

the problem came again, the magic mo tion remote does not work again... It hangs, only on off button works... So to summarize, when u restart the tv or when you remove the dongle and put it back, then the remote starts working again... I have launched a complaint again and this time they mostly will change the dongle or remote , I hope it should not turn out to be tv issue... I will keep you updated...

LG service men called me and told that it should not be a tv issue... it is with the remote, he explained that some times the tv frequency signal sent by the dongle does not match the remote and this problem may occur and he plans to order a new dongle and magic motion remote... Hope this resolves the issue...
I am that way happy with the service as well.. I called the service man at 10:45 in night to give some details and he still speaks politely ...so far so good..Keeping my fingers crossed... Other wise the tv rocks!
 
I understand from this thread that though a feature for recording programs (DVR) is there in LW5700, it can be used only with Digital Terrestrial signal input but not with any other input like HDMI, componenet Video etc.

(If this is true, this feature is useless for us because we do not have any DTV in India. I am sore about it; though I got attracted to 5700 originally for its 3D feature, I realised recording would be the more practical feature)


Can any one COMFIM the above?


Is there any other TV that allows recording?

Lg service mam came replaced the dongle and magic motion remote control today... feeling better...let us see if this rectifies the problem ...

and adjust Viewpoint accordint to your viewing distance picture shoud appear as if you are the one recording the movie ,It also depends upon your 3d content :)
 
I bought 42" LG LW 6500 Cinema 3D in the month of Dewali. After that my home renewation work was going on, so I was not able to keep in touch with this forum. When I bought the TV that time and now also I am observing one probblem that when I connect the USB drive having 3d content ,the TV took so much time for loading the content. Even 10 out of 9 times tv shows" loading" message and nothing happens. I know that tv supports certain files and up to certain capacity of the USB drive. My 3d files are mkv sbs files. Even if say one file plays on one day on another day if I connect same file through USB it gives message of" loading" and nothing happens. My USB Pen Drive has 8 GB capacity and has NTFS formatted. Also that pen Drive I got free with TV. When I bought such costly tv for viewing 3d contents and the tv doesn't even load the files, it is frustating :sad: . Even I saw this probblem happens with several people in this forum. So reply on this because this is a measure issue. HD Channels looks gorgeous on this tv.
 
i think its issue with your pendrive,format it again to ntfs or try connecting other pendrive....if problem remains contact lg care :)

I am new to the forum, I intend to buy a 42 inch LW5700. Can you please suggest a dealer in Bangalore who would give me the best deal and also freebies such as 3D glasses, Magic motion remote, etc....

Has anyone of you tried "LG Skype Camera AN-VC300" for video calls on Skype? How was your experience so far been?
