LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LW6500 Owner's Thread

guys i feel like cheated now. last night i spent time in forum to know whether mine is display piece and it turned out to be display piece.

my tv was installed on 04/11 and yesterday night usage hours shows 120+ hours means i should use 17+ hours everyday. than i checked the package and thermocol inside package...thermocol is broken all over and sticked with plaster. i went to croma jp nagar asking for refund or replacement but they are not ready to do so and asked me to do what ever i want to do when i said i will go to consumer court. croma manager said LG might have sticked broken thermocol with plaster which is hard to believe. i am big disappointed now ...:sad:

These are a bit costly because they are imported from USA, but still less than rs 600.

According to me, the best option is to get them from ur local multiplex.
Inox is the only multiplex in my town at the moment. i find their 3d glasses of slightly better quality than the lg ones and they cost just rs 50.

Oh...just saw the link....good option provided by inox. Don't think we gave such offers from multiplexes in Delhi :-(

My first post :)

Im in UK and planning to bring LG 47LW450U (47'') to India with me.Its costing 629 which is ~INR 50K
Its a UK model and I believe the corresponding India model is 47LW4500.

Do you think its a good deal? The only dampner here is the 100hz frame rate and that it lacks the internet connectivity (I dont want this)

Would 100hz frame rate have any motion blur or juddering? I play lot of games on PS3 hence a little concerned.

Sorry to hear that friend. See if sending mail to LG CC helps. If it doesn't, don't mind. I think, 120 hours is not much. If you are happy with the set and you don't see any problem associated with it being used, just igore it. I mean, don't loose peace of mind over it. Be happy that you got good deal. Hope, the matter gets resolved as per you liking. Happy viewing.
 
Hi ! , Thanks angynagpal for your reply. Last time I have posted one issue regarding loading issue of my LG 8GB Free Pen Drive. Whenever I connected that pen drive to watch 3D or other content it just shows Loading and nothing happens. According to your suggestion I contact LG customer care, they offer quick service. The LG person having his own pen drive and it is working well. So he told me that my Pen Drive is faulty. I contact the showroom from where I purchased the TV and ask for replacement but they says that they don't replace the free stuff that came with the TV. So I purchased SanDisk Cruzer Switch 32 GB USB Flash Drive. And Now it recognizes the content within no time. No probblem with my 42" LG LW 6500. So again thanks for your help .
I am planning to buy Home Theater System for my 42" LG LW 6500 Cinema 3D TV. I saw some HT Systems on web from Sony, Samsung and on LG web site also(There latest 3d blue ray supporting system specially created for LG 3D TV). I search on diffrent forums and according to them Onkyo , Yamaha , Bose has entry level HT Systems which gives better perfomance watching movies and listening music. Recently I saw Onkyo 5.1 CH HT SYSTEM HT-S3400 in Reliance Digital and its performance was good watching demo movies. But on net I read the reviews about the same that its performance in listening the music content is not of top class as that movie content. So I want to know the opinion on HT Systems that are compatible with LW 6500 as it has optical output. I have Tatasky HD connection that also I want to connect to the HT System. Again I don't have 3D Blue ray player or DVD player to connect to Onkyo 3400 HT System. If I have to watch 3D content or movies or want to listen music files through USB Flash Drive connected to LG LW 6500 then can it give audio output through Onkyo 3400 ? Reliance Digital has given 27000 Rs. quotation for Onkyo 5.1 ch HT-S3400 system. Initially I was thinking of 7.1 HT System but considering my small room size I AM PLANNING FOR 5.1 HT System. Also 7.1 Systems are beyond my budget. So guys let me know that If Onkyo 5.1 CH HT-S3400 is good and compatible HT System? Or Suggest me good HT systems with model numbers.

Personally 200Hz does not justify the cost difference. There is hardly any noticeable difference. And anyways, except for sports, everyone normally keeps true motion in low or off....so why bother going for 200Hz??

Also keep in mind that its hard to notice difference between 120 and 200Hz.

2d quality is good...u can read this thread as it provides all the info of its 2d performance.

Is it me or is there a slight stutter when playing 1080P SBS 3d movies through a USB HDD? I mean its not a constant stutter, but happens every 5-10 seconds. Its not very visible and is only evident once you look closely for it, but once you have seen it, its hard to not notice it :(!

Also for those who want to access the LG service menu, there is an android app for it which costs 300 bucks. I tried it and it works flawlessly :)! I loved the THX Picture setting!!!!!!!

Anybody facing the same issue??

Also, when on the LG moving logo screen, I see a lot of light bleeding, but as soon as a movie starts and has a total black screen....the light bleeding is almost nil! Is this normal?

I have almost decided to buy 42LG5700. I have got the best offer of 70K.

However I was wondering if I should wait for LG to launch new 2012 models supposedly on 4th May.

Is it true that LG is going to launch 2012 models on 4th May?
Are they going to launch anything substantial in similar price range.?

Please advice.
 
LW5700 cannot play flv files through usb???? It says file not recignized for flv files downloaded off youtube. Files downloaded in mp4 format play fine.

I don find the picture is appealing apart from HD channels. Its actually on a dull side. Can you help me to tweak the picture settings ?

1)How to setup Internet Connection in Wired Method.

I hav Wired network setup at my home which kinda Dialup(which need user id n password) for connecting the internet set on PPPOE method on PC,I hav Dynamic IP, i just wanna ask how to connect internet if i connect it to my TV, whenever i connect it to tv it scan for connection, it show checked mark at IP, but fails to set Gateway n Subnet Mask. I asked my ISP he told me i hav request for Static IP which will cost me n its expensive!! I dont Wanna buy Wifi Router

Anybody hav solution regarding this??How much it will cost me for Wifi Router???

hi guys can anybody help me about gaming settings. i just noticed while playing nba 2k12 on xbox360 1080p. i noticed when running so fast and passing the ball too far causes like some blur i dont know if its a blur or animation or something with the player that runs or catch the ball. do i need to set tru motion in high settings when playing? thanks for your help

Last week I brought LW5700, Its amzing futures and worth for price.
i got it of 72.5k at chennai. But many of moives with 1080p audio not comming any way to change audio. I would like to buy a blue ray 3d player can any one suggest which model to buy, so that it can read all files with audio
