Hi, was away from the forum since few months , hence replying late, yes I bought it from croma pluse mall, pune for 74k in oct2011, from the sales person named Ankush, I was even offered the same price in vishrantwadi lg shoppee on alandi road... Wish you the best....

Inspite of remote and dongle replacement, the problem still persist .now they are telling that they will replace the controller inside and if this still persist then tv replacement. Overall I am bit disappointed now...

Hi all, if in case you are following my issue, wanted to update the members that after some follow ups I finally got the controller of my tv replaced , they said this will be the last try, and if the problem of magic motion remote still persist, then they will replace tv, but fortunately since they have replaced controller, the problem seem to have gone, at least motion remote working fine since last one month ... Just thought

i got it of 72.5k at chennai. But many of moives with 1080p audio not comming any way to change audio. I would like to buy a blue ray 3d player can any one suggest which model to buy, so that it can read all files with audio

I think your audio may be in DTS format and LG doesn't support DTS you have to convert the audio to AC3.

LG is going to release their 2012 3D TV models soon in India. The models are LM6200 and LM6700 with Picture Up-scaling feature and built in WiFi and Magic Remote with Mouse Scrolling Wheel. 42LM6200 MRP is around 87K and 42LM6700 1,05,000.

I bought 42LW5700 just a week before from a LG dealer in Alwarthirunagar, Chennai for an attractive price that you would never get it in the retailers like Viveks, Shah etc. Owner requested me to not share the price . He also mentioned LG is planning to bump the price up from June 1st for these models.

Hope you meant 73.5k. Try to get the LG Wifi dongle as free, If u buy it separately it cost around Rs. 2050 and it is available only with LG service center. No other wifi dongle is compatible with the TV. With wifi connection, watching youtube HD videos in the tv is really a visual treat.

Playing .mov files, sound not recognized

Am trying to play the video clips recorded on my sony camera. these are in .mov format. while I play the same, it says the audio is not recognizable on my LW5700.
any alternatives for the same, please.

You can use audio converter applications to convert into the compatible format. The one I use is Avidemux which converts audio without touching the video. I haven't faced any sync issue after conversion so far.

Finally, took a plunge and bought the LW 5700 42" for my parents as they were moved too much with the 3D demo and loved the ease and experience.

I am too personally impressed with the 3D performance of this TV and loved the color reproduction and the over all clarity. This definitely puts LG 42" LCD to shame !

Also I am looking to buy a external HDD to hook up to the TV. I wanted to ensure I get one that's compatible to this TV since I heard from few members that some of the HDD models didnt quite work.

Hello Guys!

I bought 42LW6500 for 79K last week and upgraded my Airtel TV connectionto Airtel HD.

Since yesterday I observed lip sync issue on certain HD channels (primarily on Movies NOW HD and Star Movies HD) - I have LG 42LW6500 and Airtel HD STB (made by Huawei).

Some observations:
1. While History HD was showing perfect lip sync, Movies NOW HD was big time out of sync.
2. Sometimes the Colors HD and Zee TV HD displayed lip sync issues, sometimes not.
3. I turned ON the AV Sync feature and adjusted the TV SPeaker to -5 (I was trying out, I do not know what these values technically mean). It brought no improvement to Movies NOW HD and Star Movies HD at all. However, if I set it to +15 (just to see if it does anything at all), the Colours HD and Zee TV HD developed lip sync problem!

Note: Just a couple of days ago, I watched a whole movie on Movies NOW HD and there was no issue!

This is really annoying.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Is this an issue with Set Top Box or the TV?

Please HELP.

Also, I read a lot about the services menu.
Can anyone help me to access this please?

Guys, I just hooked up the TV and tried to watch SBS bluray rip of Tin Tin. The volume seems to be very low even if I crank it all the way to 70 or even 100!

I played a couple of other videos through USB and the volume levels felt fine.

Although I find it to be feeble.

Any one experienced similar issues?

Yeah...volume levels are pretty low in this TV....hardly any difference as the volume levels go up...specially in sources with low volumes

I had tried a couple of sbs movies when I had bought the TV....worked fine for me as long as long as audio was not dts.

Personally am very disappointed with the input lag during ps3 gaming on this tv. Have tried all work arounds like changing input name to pc and all that....they do make a huge difference but even after that it was pretty bad....specially during games like fifa and fps like bf3 where timing is very important....am very disappointed with this aspect

guys i feel like cheated now. last night i spent time in forum to know whether mine is display piece and it turned out to be display piece.

my tv was installed on 04/11 and yesterday night usage hours shows 120+ hours means i should use 17+ hours everyday. than i checked the package and thermocol inside package...thermocol is broken all over and sticked with plaster. i went to croma jp nagar asking for refund or replacement but they are not ready to do so and asked me to do what ever i want to do when i said i will go to consumer court. croma manager said LG might have sticked broken thermocol with plaster which is hard to believe. i am big disappointed now ...:sad:
