I writing this if it's any help anyone. I Owen a lw5700 American. Done some research to pass on if anyone wants.
lw5700 vs lw5600, is lw5600 has local dimming. witch could be important. Trying to duplicate that on a 5700 could be somewhat possible. Don't have a side by side to compare.
Before i owned a vizio lcd 3d from wall-mart. it was OK too, not as good of passive 3d as lg. Maybe their true led model active would be good, as it's about same price.
Pc to 3d was OK on both, izd3 drivers are the best. tri def has low fps. ati 6970 card so it should be good enough. Wow has a hard reading the thier writing on both models, maybe its the passive 3d interlace. Have not tried active 3d on Wow. Cod OK but fps about 30 avg with izd3.
Smart TV much better with lg. USB video is OK with lg. none vizio. I tried DVD fab 2d to 3d on vizo, its was bad. maybe i did it wrong. lg 2d to 3d was 100% better.
Price of lg5700 at Costco is 899.00 now. 5700 seems to be a large store release, a little scaled down 5600.

In India I think it's better to buy from a local store than to buy online
Here in Vijayawada the tv was selling for around 75k 2-3 weeks ago
Check in local stores( not LG store) and find the best price. i think u can bargain it for about 70-72k

After a month long search, finally got 42LW5700 today. the LG guy will probably come by Monday for installation... will post my feedback soon.
By the way, I am just wondering if I really required 3D Blu ray player to enjoy the maximum possible 3D effect? Anyone here with an idea

thank u guys for all info i bought lw 5700 yesterday downloaded movies playing through xtremer enjoyed a lot just can u help me to setup wifi i have wifi usb antenna do i need a router or usb dongle? and can i watch anaglyph movies
Technically you can watch Anaglyph movies with those red/blue glasses and not the ones which come with the TV. But why would you want to do that?
You can download SBS 3D movies (Side-by-side) or convert 3D Bluerays to them if you dont have a 3D Blueray player.

Yes, u need to have a wireless router first to use wifi on tv using the wifi dongle(it can be bought from lg store. normal wifi dongles don't work)

One solution for people experience audio lags on their PS3/other consoles/media players.
If like me, you dont want to mess around the optical cables everytime, then your best bet is to change the audio to 2.1 on your console/other misc devices and the sound lag is gone! Tried it on my PS3 and Xtreamer and it works!
