@manideepk, have you clicked on the 3d button on the remote and selected the correct 3d display option? Sometimes we forget the simplest of things, i know i've done it quite often.. :-)

If you've already done that and still can't get it to work, there are two things you could try.
- Instead of using an HDMI cable, try making a connection through DLNA (it's tricky to setup sometimes) by using a lan cable. Once you have the DLNA setup and have shared the folder which has the 3d file, try accessing and playing it from the TV. I did this for one 3D file (side by side) where even after selecting Side-by-Side 3D option on the TV, the left and right images did not align correctly when playing through VLC and using an HDMI connection.
- Copy the file to an external drive, connect it to ur TV and play it from there.

Hi,

can u explain what u mean by half 3d??
And the movie at the link u have mentioned is not 3d video as it clearly says it is a dvdrip.
Try this video to start with. It has nice 3d effects.
Monsters Vs Aliens Bob's Big Break 3D 1080p Half-SBS AC3 (download torrent) - TPB
No need to change the viewpoint. And i think depth setting is for 2d-3d conversion and not for side-by-side
Download the above video and just select side-by-side from the 3d menu
and reply whether it worked or not.

For every one here, if u want to download 3d movies from torrents, join this website 3D Torrents - 3D Content and Side By Side Movies
It has all kinds of 3d videos u can get
Hurry up as it might become a private site soon and u would need an invite to join

chech the below link for sbs half 3d
'Full 3D' vs 'Half-3D': is it all a headache? | News | Rapid TV News

also the above link the clash of the titans is also a 3d although it does say its a dvdrip its a type of 3d called anaglyph(older version of 3d)...i think u havent gone through the 3d settings and all. there are view point and depth settings....that will be avaialable only when u play 3d....

Re: LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LX6500 Owner's Thread

I've a doubt, I just purchased LW6500 and waiting for delivery.. Can I use any polarized glasses for viewing 3d? I am looking for some clip on type.. Please let me know.. Thanks

What are u trying to say here??
anaglyph 3d is not for 3d tv's. It can be watched on any tv using cheap red-cyan glasses and they don't work with ur cinema 3d glasses.

I know there are settings for viewpoint and depth.
viewpoint needs to be changed when u r watching from left or right of the screen and is irrelevant when watching from in front of the tv.

I think the 3d depth is useful only when u r watching 2d-3d conversion, anyways i have put it to 20( max depth)

When some body tries to help u spending some time on it, try what they told before acting smart and commenting with half knowledge wasting ur own time.

Regarding the link u have posted half-3d refers to half-sbs files like the one i have posted and not anaglyph one's that u posted. And full-3d refers to 3d blurays( for which u need to buy a 3d blu ray player and each movie file is abt 30-50 gb in size) or full-sbs files which are not compatible with most 3d tv's and need to be played through pc( not sure about these though)

Anyways try downloading from the link i have posted before and in future look for half SBS(Side-by-side) or over-under 3d rips( not anaglyph) which are compatible with most 3d tvs 3d movies intended for 3dtv's are ripped only from blu-ray but not dvd.

Yes u can use any polarized glasses like the ones from cinemas

As u may be knowing, 4 glasses are included in the box but i found them to be cheap. There are other model glasses which can be bought from LG but are not available at the local dealer still. They cost around rs 500 each.

The same thing(left/right images not aligning properly) happened with me the first time as well when i connected my pc through hdmi.

Later i made some changes
- change the ratio to just scan
- update the display driver
- install nvidia 3dtv play( now the trial version expired but movies are playing fine)

Now it's working fine

But when i connect my laptop with ati display card it does not work.
So i feel u need to install a 3d driver like nvidia 3d vision(comes with latest nvidia display drivers) or iZ3d driver. There is another such driver but i dont remember the name.

Correct me if i am wrong abt anything

Re: LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LX6500 Owner's Thread

Sent a mail to LG costumer care about 3d glasses and got a reply today
They say they don't have stock of AG-F210 anywhere in India and they have only 2 pieces of AG-F200 at noida, which would cost rs 2200 a piece

He says that the price of extra AG-F110 glasses which came with the tv cost rs 930 a piece.

Completely unreasonable pricing

Re: LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LX6500 Owner's Thread

Re: LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LX6500 Owner's Thread

Am i the only one who felt that Games on the PS3 run slowly on an lw5700 rather than a Samsung something 3 year old HD ready tv?
Also I noticed that while i was playing Killzone the sound comes a bit delayed.
Anyone else having the same problem?
and, MKV files dont work with Sound when connected through a USB drive.

Re: LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LX6500 Owner's Thread

Hi,

I'm using Tata Sky HD and PS3 with my 42LW5700. My setup uses HDMI connections from both to the TV and then Optical Out from the TV to my Onkyo AVR. My Onkyo is setup on Direct which means it'll recognize and pass on what it gets to the speakers without any processing. I'm getting surround sound out when using the PS3 but only stereo with the Tata Sky HD. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Thanks. My laptop has an ATI Card. Perhaps I need to do some research on the appropriate driver which can be used.

Another oddity that I'm noticing is that when my laptop's connected with HDMI, display resolution set at 1920 * 1080 and the TV set to Just Scan, the TV does not show the image on the full screen. There's an inch or so of black border on all sides. This disappears when I select the lowest zoom setting of 1. Any ideas on why this might be so?

Lg tv's can't decode DTS audio. So look for movies with Dolby digital(AC3) or other audio.
For video file info, download mediainfo software.
There are softwares to convert from DTS to dolby
Download mkvtoolnix and freemake video converter
look for mmg.exe in mkvtoolnix. U can use it to seperate dts audio from video file and then convert it to Dolby 5.1 using freemake and add the audio back to the video using mmg.exe(mkv merge gui)

Look for tutorials how to do this. I'm not an expert at this

I think this is because almost in every channel we get only mono/stereo audio. Only a few channels get 5.1( I think Nat geo HD does. I'm not sure though as I'm yet to connect my HT to the tv). So either we get the stereo sound or u can turn on the processing to enable pseudo 5.1(same sound from all 5 speakers - I dont know the exact name for this mode in ur AVR)

Yes I have the same issue when connecting my laptop. But with my htpc i need to set it to just scan.
Try iZ3D driver. I think u can try it for free.
But before that just try updating your ati driver to the latest version

Try turning motion flow to low/off and see if it helps...

Re: LG Cinema 3D LW5700, LX6500 Owner's Thread

If we format USB Pen drive/HDD with NTFS, will the TV still read the drive? Since most MKVs are more than 4gb, NTFS is required. I was just wondering!
