Front speaker has nothing to do with subwooferMay be the room modes and phasing issues. Did you try changing the front speaker distance?

Front speaker distance in denon settings? You said there is a delay in bass. My bad. Okay. Your choice
Nice choice.are you going to help with this setting? LFE ONLY OR LFE+MAINS then crossover for dali opticon 2? set them small or large? for 2.1 setup for movies and also for indian music?
Distance check where? And what is phaseNice choice.
For me LFE + main and crossover at 100hz on sub works reat for me and the integration is beautiful...but check the distance and phase setting once
DistanceDistance check where? And what is phase
Thanks a lot turn down volume in denon how much? How to select stereo mode?Distance
Menu-speaker- manual-distance.
Take a tape and measure the distance between the seating position and woofer and enter it in the woofer distance.
Similarly do it for front speakers and centre.if you have patience then do for all speakers.
2. For phase a little more endirance required to do the following.
download svs app.
Switch on bluetooth on phone and switch on the svs subwoofer.
The app should automatically connect with svs sub woofer.
now set woofer volume level at -30.
Now search youtube for '80hz frequency loop'
Before playing the video turn down the volume on denon And set to stereo mode (not direct mode)
Play the video with 1 hour duration and now set the volume of denon conservatively to a level above all other noises around the room.
Now
Download app called sound meter in android phone And open app.
While the video is playing check the sound meter in app for the level (check the average level)
Now go to the svs app and press on the 3 lines on top right of the app and look for 'phase'.
phase is mostly set to 0 degrees..
Change it to 180 and check sound meter and compare...try 90degrees and 135 degrees and 45 degrees. mostly 0 degrees will have the max average db in sound meter app.
Set the phase when the sound meter app average shows the highest. Reset the average in soind meter app if the audio is interupted in between or something loud disturbs the average and then rely on the average reading for 10 seconds.
this should take around 10-15mins.
Hope i was able to explain right.
How much volume low? Thanks a lot turn down volume in denon how much? How to select stereo mode?
2. Set volume of denon above other noises which noise?
What is tactile transducer do i need itHow much volume low?
This video can be loud so turn down to the least volume you have used denon in.
To select stereo mode- in the denon bottom left there is a button called movie, press it, check on screen and use the remote navigation key to select stereo.
By the way did you run audyssey yet?
If not, save it for another day (most probably 3am or 4am)
Above other noises-
While using sound meter app it will measure the total noise in the room. To set the phase right we need the response from the denon and speaker to be maximum. If the noises around the room influence the meter more then the reading cannot be relied to make phase changes.
Before playing the video, when the room is quiet , check the sound meter (app) level.
After playing the video make sure that the sound meter reads a lot above the level while the toom was silent.
Before starting to use sound meter app, open the app and familiarise with level , average the timer and macimum levels.
Looks like i am doing audessey wrong can you tell from back wall what to be mminimum didtance from wall 1st position then minimum distance between all 8 positions.May be the room modes and phasing issues. Did you try changing the front speaker distance?
you have to measure the distance between your ear and the speakers. I haven't used audessy before. so, can't comment on it.Looks like i am doing audessey wrong can you tell from back wall what to be mminimum didtance from wall 1st position then minimum distance between all 8 positions.
The aupplied wire with svs is loose on my wall can. I bjy this for svs pb 2000you have to measure the distance between your ear and the speakers. I haven't used audessy before. so, can't comment on it.
Try adding an adapterThe aupplied wire with svs is loose on my wall can. I bjy this for svs pb 2000
I dont think should use this with heavy wooferTry adding an adapter
if the wires inside are thick enough, then no problem. The aupplied wire with svs is loose on my wall can. I bjy this for svs pb 2000
Meaning of mains here?Try adding an adapter
Dont need tactile transducer. Its a motor like stuff attached to the chair we are sitting in (or may be chait with inbuilt motor) that vibrates depending on the bass...its more physical which we are not into yet. What is tactile transducer do i need it
I think op is having book shelves not towers.Dont need tactile transducer. Its a motor like stuff attached to the chair we are sitting in (or may be chait with inbuilt motor) that vibrates depending on the bass...its more physical which we are not into yet.
Forgot to mention previously about subwoofer and bass
Inside menu- speakers-manual setup-crossover- front- set to 'full range'
And then
Pcome back into the advanced menu- low frequency effects-distribution- front - set to '-20db'
Can increase this -20db depending on how much low frequency your front towers can handle. Initially keep this to -20db for atleast a year and let the speakers season well and then increase it. Initially they will handle well even at 0(zero) db but then speakers will take the hot sooner. If seasoned well speakers can do wonders later!
