Orthodynamic Headphones & all things planar

yes I hope the person who is holding the hostage reads this.

I have no issues if the TPs give their grandpa a thrashing.
That would just motivate me to build my own TPs or may be a new housing for the NADs.
That just reminds me that my Fostex T50RP are being held hostage by someone, hopefully he would be reading this. :p

@Brendon : Does the preamp help with bass levels of HP-2 ?
May be some opamp rolling will help.

held back with so many things in last few weeks. My mamaji passed away, search for a new rented place etc. Zero music for last few weeks. I will pull out the headphones tonight.

That is sad news.:(

You know I was kidding, right.:o
I thought you were busy but had no clue of such tidings.
Please attend to your matters & don't feel rushed on my account.

^^ That's nice of you..
I am hoping that my first EHHA build would be ready by the time I receive them.
Fingers crossed. :)

@Brendon : Have you managed to ship the YH-2s ?

I hope you mean mine will be ready too :)
Seems there are some updates to be shared...

Ah. I see. :)

Anyways I sent the YH-2s to iaudio on 17th August by DTDC. He should get them today considering those #$&*#$*# buggers promised me a 19th August delivery. :(

Brendon, pl pm me the tracking no. As the hols are beginning soon. I would like to call them up and collect package asap! And once again, thank you!

Breandon..shoot me a Pm..might be willing to build you one of the EHHA RevAs with Toshiba BJTs if you are interested.

OKay chaps..the TPs are finally ready. There are still some peaks in the upper midrange but won't bother with it now. It still sounds pretty darn good. So good in fact that I haven't touched my wharfies in a week.

I posted the final damping scheme on the ortho and the TP threads over at HF.

That is good news Sachi., can't wait to lay my hands on them.

It seems that EHHA revA would be less powerful than its predecessor. Apart from not having to use an external PS, are there any other major changes ?

Who said it would be less powerful?
You will still be able to bias it quite high. At very least 3 watts into 50 ohms. PLenty if you ask me..i usually biased mine at about 5 watts into 50 ohms
Its faster than the EHHA-1. The external S22 supply would be useful however unnecessary if you ask me.
