Glasses are not shipped from factory inside sealed box. You need to collect it form dealer.

Today, 50UT50 delivered and installed. Very much happy with picture quality 
. Saw some movie clips like Kung fu panda, Toy story, adventure of tin tin. Amazing picture quality. Thanks to all to make decision. How many 3D glasses comes with 50UT50. I'll receive only one 3D-glass along with this.

congrats on the buy, welcome to the club.
I have mentioned earlier as well, glasses are given separately (not in box); 50" comes with 2 glasses and 40" comes with only 1 glass. Check with dealer for your 2nd or mail Pana.
my personal suggestion: for extra glasses, dont over-buy, but put money practically.

I may give SSG-4100 a try in near future.
today, my TataSky HD was installed, via HDMI. SD & HD were superb, will dig more in coming days.

Congratulations and welcome to the club, very good decision. I got 2 3D glasses with my 50"... you should press dealer for the same. BTW How much did it cost you?

Congratulations. Be careful during the 200 hour break-in period and even later. For 3d glasses, do not hurry. Current prices (Panasonic) are too high. If desperate, buy Samsung glasses instead @ 1300 each.

You may want to be extra cautious in initial 200 hrs of viewing that would allow phosphors to set-in and avoid any IR (channel logos etc) - reduce the contrast, brightness etc into 30s and if possible, view on zoom mode and turn pixel orbiter ON...

I have a problem of thin green line on right side of the panel from top to bottom on my 42ut50. Ran for hardly 200hrs(one month). I was careful about break in issues and my settings are akin to the ones adviced in the forum. Feeling bad about it.
I have a problem also with the free HT given. The main unit putsoff after running for 5 minutes. unit getting hot. Service person suspected of circuit problem and decision is not yet given. hope it will be replaced.
More concerned about panel. any body else having this problem? Is it burn issue or something else. help required from the members.
like I said earlier, I run the EA images changing every 5 sec - randomly 3 - 4 times in a day, for less than an hour each time. also sometimes I run in loop the "Ultimate Planet Earth" video ~7.5 min, downloaded on USB from youtube. the natural scenes give good color variation on screen and I believe would help in break-in.
tip: for images / videos on USB, press the Option button on remote and configure for loop etc.

I want to check hours usage but I'm unable to see service menu. I tried to follow steps given in same thread i.e Press info button 3 times while pressing volume minus on the TV. After some time service menu appears. But nothing came up. Please suggest me how to check hours usage ?

Procedure to check usage hours in Panasonic 2012 models:
- Press Vol- button on TV side panel and keep it pressed
- While Vol- button is pressed press "INFO" button on remote 3 times quickly
- TV will display "Entering Adjustment Menu" and then will display the "Adjustment Menu"
- Press the "2" button on remote twice and then press "OK" on remote
- You will see SRV Tool
- Using arrow keys on remote navigate to the table row that says "PICT ..."
- Use the right arrow key to enter the cell next to "PICT"
- Press and hold "MUTE" button on remote till the cell displays the values

The only button on TV to be used is the "Vol-" button. All other buttons from remote.
Note that after you enter the "Adjustment Menu" and then to "SRV Tool", there is no exit. You must switch off the mains or use the TV On/Off on TV side panel to exit.

I reduced contrast, sharpness and color to 35 and keep brightness as 0, not sure what is 0 stands for.. is it fine for 1st 200 hours ?

Contrast is fine at 35.
0 brightness is too low. You will miss out on shades of grey and darker shades may appear as black blobs. You can go higher to 35.
35 for colour means that colours may be dull but you may keep it if you like that. Colour setting makes no difference for IR. Ditto for sharpness - picture will look fuzzy instead of sharp and does not make any difference for IR.
Only contrast and brightness matter for IR protection measures. If you wish, you can run white scroll bar for 15 to 30 mins everyday.

You dont have to be so critical about your Burn in hours. Watch normally and try to watch FullHD content as much as possible. Until and unless you are watching a channel with bright logo like Neo Sports or movies with letter box for prolonged time, its absolutely fine.
Dont reduce your brightness/contrast so much that it strains your eyes
