@TheCoolestOne: You are listed for 2 B1 kits, 2 PS Kits and 2 r-cores. Are you building Buffer->Volume Control->Buffer or Simply 2 B1's in separate Box? Because in former case one PS+r-core can power up 2 B1 in same cabinet, same like I have done. In later case, 2 separate boxes you need separate PS and rcore.

I think he is making 2 builds, since he had asked me to add his name for 2 cabinets for the B1 cabinet GB

BTW, how many devices (as in CNC, SSP, B1 etc) can the 18-0-18 r-core along with the power supply kit support? Right now I want to put B1+CNC in one case. Later on, I might add a SSP (in case I need more gain) or another B1 (similar to your double decker option).

Om and Apk,the 2nd kit is actually for a friend who's interested in the build. I have planned for the single bufffer build at this juncture and use it for a while before starting to experiment with 2 buffers and different volume pots.

My friend wants to build a Pass B1 for now and is planning to move on to something higher in some months whereby he will retain the cabinet and Rcore and I plan to use his buffer as a second buffer for my Pass B1.

So 2 seperate B1 builds for now :ohyeah:

I am in pain when people say something higher than Nelson Pass's design. :indifferent14: I know community of people never upgraded after they listened to NP design.

May be your friend has his beliefs but for me after all journey Power amps( push-pull, class AB, class D, class T), OPAMP based, discrete preamps, I found NP design was there to defeat all other stuff, if blind test is done. In the end everybody need to get his/her mental peace and some people get after spending huge amount and holding big brand names. Most of them are not blessed for DIY skills.

Very true OM. I totally agree with you. Till I had not heard your Pass B1 in the pune meet I was oblivious about it but once I heard it my ears stopped searching for something better and the Pass B1 with the Norge Power Amp setup became a benchmark for me from that point. I keep telling people that there has to be an end to upgradation and changes after a point of time once our mind is satisfied. How else will we get to enjoy his existing setup if we are constantly looking for a change.

To each their own. My friend hasnt heard the Pass B1 as yet and only read about it online and his build is based purely on the positive reviews it has garnered. I know once he done building his and hears it his jorney for upgradation may stop there itself and the only thing that may carry on is tweaking the Pass B1 :).

Can a good phono be integrated into the B1 kit??? Pls advise.

Guys, any updates on the cabinet front???

Bibin, await the info on the Cab + kit info on the remaining parts, pls advise prices of 2 kits, 1 with tools(soldering iron, etc) & 1 without any tools, just the components required to complete the pre-amp.

Yes DIy Phonostage can be integrated,Omishra,svaze are using DIY CNC Phonostage with B1.

You will only need 6X Chassis mount RCA,one DPDT toggle and Power switch with fuse all can be had within Rs 250-300.If anyone is for looking good quality Gold plated RCAs from Neutrick can contact Kiran sales Mumbai.It is available at Rs 60/piece Kiran Sales You can order online or personally visit his shop at lamination road.I think Joshua knows this shop.
