Here is some discussion along with pictures of Magma's B1 cabinet build. Price was approx Rs 3400 per head for a 10 member group buy.

You can even buy locally available metal cab(Rs 150) and put Aluminium/Black Acrlic faceplate like Omishra/Vin_eme did for B1/SSP.

Yes....we should explore other options for cabinets as well. Sachin has given one more option. We can also think of options from e-bay. I remember Audiodoc getting some cool cabinets from Taiwan.

You have given the design or magma did it ?

I gave my requirement. Magma had sent the side panels without the embedded 'T' nuts to screw in the bolts to fix them on to the cabinets. I tried fixing some nuts using Araldite, M Seal and the likes but the moment I try to fix the cabinet by turning in the bolts, the nuts pop out. Hope I was able to clarify.

The most cost effective cabinet I thought about, which I discussed with Srinisundar also this evening is, to go for run-of-the-mill cabinets that can be found at places like Richie Street at Chennai, Lamington Road in Mumbai, Lajpat Market in Delhi which can be had for less than 300 bucks. Stick 3-4 mm plywood on the underside of the cabinet to stiffen them. Junk the face plate and make one with Acrylic or Aluminum and you would have a decent cabinet that can even adorn your living room. The total cost should not exceed a grand or thereabouts.

I would strongly suggest locally made metal cabs with DIY Aluminium or Acrylic face plate.As Those cabs can be had in Rs 200 as Captrajesh pointed out various sources.I really like Omishra and Vin_eme's DIY low cost cabs.Cab's internal height should be min 65 mm else 15000uf caps on B1 won't fit inside.

EDIT: Om has confirmed that the r-core should cost around Rs 650.

- cheap cabinet from local market. Replace front/back fascia. Add some re-inforcement. Should cost you around 200-300 for cabinet + a few hundreds to replace front/back faceplate. Total < Rs 1000.
- cabinet from ebay (HK & Taiwan has some good options). Cost around 50-60 USD (without shipping). You can get around $5-10 off for larger nos.
- there could be a group buy from FM bibin. He has got cabinets made for B1 and F5. Not sure of cost
- Magma's cabinet - cost around Rs 3500
