Post your latest AV purchase(s)......

Myself got Audioengine 2 speakers in white color from Bajaao.com. Sound quality is amazing - you can pinpoint which speaker is playing what. Though I wish to have a little extra bass than what they produce.

I ordered a Norge 2060 and Nano speakers from Mr. Bajaj a couple of days ago. I figure it will be a neat desktop setup for my laptop, or maybe even as a secondary system somewhere in the apartment.

But my main reason for getting these (besides the reviews saying it's great budget components) is that I'm Norwegian. And since 'Norge' is the Norwegian name for (you guessed it?) Norway, I just have to get some components from this brand :)

Got myself a Cowon C2 16GB white portable media player.

Sound is good and is an improvement over iPod but the controls and navigation are gloriously confusing and non intuitive. Personally I love gadgets and complex operation doesn't turn me off but this one has really got me! I hope i will get used to the controls.

There are a few things which i would surely love to know from the Cowon users, how you guys track the folders in this player? From the now playing screen if I want to go to the folder list, i don't see any way out. Also, Is there any way to play all the files in the player in random? :sos::sos::sos::sos::sos:

On "now playing screen" ..there are following options in series
Previous/rewind, play/pause, forward/next, oper/browse album..
From the above options click open than click the symbol on the right top corner of the screen ...than multiple options will come on the bottom of the screen ....where in the first and second option will take u to folders ....where in u can browse ur folders......

I hope I am able to make u understand.....

From hifidemoroom, paid 26k for the unit.. i know its a bit higher compared to others but didnt wana go for a dealer from outside..

Oh yea, from Bobby i suppose...nice guy though talks a lot and prefers comparing Ferrari to Bullock carts :D :D

Enjoy the purchase bro....do share pics and ur experience.

Thanks Amit for your help.
Very surprisingly, when I touch the open link from Now playing screen, I see the folder list of the currently playing folder. Right there is a back link. As per design this should take me to one step upper folder level but when touched it takes me to the now playing screen.
Just explored that when you touch at the top of the folder list, it takes you on step up folder level. Serves the purpose to me but it is kind of an Easter egg for me.

Now trying to get some speakers

Either Wharfdale VARDUS or the OBSIDIAN 600HCP

Congratulations. How much you paid and from where did you buy it? Haven't you checked newer RXV 471 model?

Bought it in UAE, for AED 1299 (Approx Rs. 16000), I saw a few models , heard a few at Thomsun, Decided this is the one which can replace My old SONY TA-AX44, Warm sound for those Goldies from Yesudas and Hariprasad Cahurasia, Prepared an Audio CD to test what I want, Saw somw HCP speaker packages too, But decided not to carry it, Obsedian HCP 600 sounds pretty good with it, It is about 75Kgs with a VR-10 sub, well A little confused, The Vardus 300 seems to be ideal for this one, I would say it is like getting wrapped in a thick Mink blanket on a cold rainy night, Very warm (Slightly lower mids to my liking), But good on both head and tail. Some eq and I can get the LOW-MID mix I neeed from it, So left it for my Bro there

Chose this one as it is just AED 90 difference between 367 and 467, This can do some Dolby Truehd and DTS master or whatever (Not that I will be using it often, But let it be there, and the power consumption is just 280 Max, I would say it may give 50W per channel for good,

Edit:--- I'am pretty sensitive to how much the Box consumes,Since I do have this habit of simply playing Instrumental music when I work full day My way of calculating it is simple, Energy cannot be created or destroyed, So Let us say the unit consumes some 40-50W to work it's circuit and rest of the power is available to be channelled to speakers, IN this case this formula gives me 280 - 40W = 250 , divie it among the 5 discreet amps inside and it should give 50W per channel, (In fact some less since nothing can be perfect),
