I presume you are using the FI-11G (MALE) and the FI-11 (FEMALE) mentioned in this site.
Oyaide, Furutech and WattGate AC Connectors
Yes, I am using the FI-11M Gold and the FI-11 Gold IEC females for the two ends of each power cord. The IEC female obviously gets connected to the IEC inlet of equipment-chasis and the Male plug at the other end of the cord gets into the power socket we provide externally.
What sockets are you using for the male plugs?
Will the male plugs fit into the 5 amp crabtree universal sockets I am using for cdp/pre?
As I have mentioned in my previous post, I am using Crabtree sockets (on a specially made extension box all made of Crabtree and Finolex) where the male plug end of the power cords go into. The fit is very good, much better than anything easily available in India.
What do I do about the 15 amp socket I use for the power amp?Crabtree only makes these in the standard indian/uk version.
I am not quite sure. Please ask Sridhar (odyssey) because ARN Systems must have used some of these even for SL amps. You should also definitely write to dinyaar because he owned at some point exactly the power amp you have now.
Are the Odyssey prices a direct conversion of dollar/inr or more or less?
More or less, yes. But of course, for exact prices, you should contact Sridhar.
Are the F11-Cu also available?
What are the per meter prices for Audio Art and Groneberg cables?
I suppose you mean if they are available in India. Again, and also for the per meter prices, Sridhar should be contacted. But according to all reports, the Gold version is a tremendous value for money, and hence I did not even consider the Cu version.
Is XLO or Siltech available in India?
XLO is available with Absolute Phase (also in Bangalore) I believe. Myriad got the Siltechs probably from abroad. I am not sure if they are available in India. But I do not think I like them all the way: both their power cords and ICs. The VDH D102 beat the Siltech IC at myriad's place quite squarely and the Audio Art power cord also would beat the Siltech power cord IMO. But these conclusions are based on no extensive tests, just my brief impression.
