Right now I am listening to ...

'Smooth Operator' was an anthem for us.

im a big fan of hers too. but you got to be in the right mood to listen to her.

def leppard really gets me going - and neil diamond, well he's got one of the most amazing voices. can listen to him any day

then u should like scorpions, 'world wide live' and 'millennium'.

i do have their millennium cd. all their best on it. dont have the world wide live. if i come across it will pick it up

thanks ashok, will listen to it first and if worth it will buy. of late i dont listen to hard rock that often, though i still enjoy it. i guess its also to do with the mood - i listen to music in the evenings and its a time when im trying to relax

What can one say? It is a "Wonderful World"...

Heavenly, will just transport you to a different place that is if instrumental and Chinese music is your cup of tea. Great and minimal usage of instruments, the melodies are very "picturesque" and will bring to mind beautiful mountains and valleys. Great way to begin your day or end it...

Probably the best album by Bonnie Raitt apart from the excellent Nick of Time album. Either way both albums are a must in any collection. Amazing guitaring by Bonnie Raitt with a heavy influence towards the blues but still singing country music. Something only she could manage so efficiently merging different genres like the blues, country, rock guitar, etc. and the guitar of hers stands out like a solo performer in its own right.

A great album to intro Livingston Taylor's. Very smooth and soothing, easy listening and a great way to relieve the stress at the end of a hard day.

One of my favorite albums of all time. I was crazy (still am by all counts) about Broken Wings, sort of an anthem of mine when growing up. Probably the only other track I was that crazy about during those days was REO Speedwagon - Keep On Loving You... Magical!!!

Hi guys,
Moser, since u mention Broken wings what about the other single 'kyrie' from the band. Reo has some superb albums.
Have been hearing an SACD called 'A trip through Tuscany' all of the week. Its basically instrumental versions of popular italian songs. Fantastic recording and truly lovely music. Really soothing and relaxing. Have made copies for my cars and for my office stereo as i just cant get enough of it.

A classic example of early Elton John when he was more into creating wonderful original music than the soppy mush like in his later works. ;) Not to imply that his recent works are all bad, but...

P.S: I thought I'd also add that the 30th Anniversary edition in SACD of the album has a previously unreleased and absolutely fabulous acoustic version of 'Candle in the Wind '...

A gorgeous R&B debut album oozing with subterranean bass that will show you how good (or bad) your system is. A perennial favorite of mine for driving after dusk

After the Gold Rush, Neil Young

One of his earlier works with a very CSNY sound but still very distinctive Neil Young. Non-fans might need more than a casual listen to get hooked as this is one of those albums that grows on you. As one of the best folk rockers around, this album is Neil Young's prelude to much more profound music...

Kyrie too, but just that Broken Wings is more of a personal favorite. Will try A Trip Through Tuscany though not much into instrumental myself except for Kenny G. From what you say though you should enjoy I Ching - Of the Marsh and the Moon. It's very soothing, very relaxing and very, very melodious, but Chinese instrumental music. Give it a try, I am sure you'll love it.
