Right now I am listening to ...

was listening to the song innuendo by queen this morning on way to work. he seamlessly integrates different styles of music. the song starts of with rock, moves into slow rock, then into spanish guitar, then into a sort of modern classical, then back into rock but following the same tune as of the spanish guitar and then ends with the tune that the song starts with. and its so well put together and sounds amazing. what a musician. the other guy that is able to do this is meatloaf

Planet Drum [Mickey Hart and Zakir Hussain} 1991
Mickey Hart brought together great drummers from around the world to make a recording based entirely on percussion, it's a great album
This album won the Grammy for Best World Music.

Freddie Mercury can sing. Even the track Bohemian Rhapsody is amazing...

apart from singing his compositions too. so unique. and what an entertainer. i've watched him perform on dvd 'under pressure' live with david bowie (infact thats my demo track - that and heart of the matter by eagles on dvd) - he really gets you going

In total agreement here. Have you checked his solo work? Though not in the same league as the body of work with Queen, still pretty good. Living On My Own is a favorite track of mine.

Not much into trance, but this is a good album to have handy especially for partying/dancing and especially rave. Prodigy made some good music and this is a good collection of their work.

Worth its price for the rock history this album is. Certainly The Beatles' best work if not the best album of all time...

The Boss absolutely rocks. Favorite tracks are Born to Run, The River, Dancing in the Dark, Born in the U.S.A., My Hometown, Glory Days, Human Touch, Streets of Philadelphia... Well probably all of them!

Really no need to say anything about Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler. Good thing about this album is it has the best of the group Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler's solo efforts in one album.

The Binaca Geet Mala 5 CD set suggested by Venkat-
truly enthralling listening esp for people of our vintage-
a lovely, nostalgic trip down memory lane....

Hi folks,

I am not sure if this is the right thread to ask this or not. I just found out that my son listens to Joan Baez in his computer. I used to enjoy Joan Baez immensely when I was a graduate student (a close friend of mine used to have a few LPs). Suddenly I have the urge to go out and buy a CD of hers if possible right now. Can anybody suggest a good CD or two by Joan Baez so that at least tomorrow morning I can achieve my goal?
