I just checked with Koramangala Panasonic guy and he says no stock. Another person named girish called me from a company called great deals offered me 50st50d for 1.035L. Am game for a group buy in bangalore. Devi international does not have stock. Am checking with a few more in the mean time.

50ST60D at 35K, that is next to impossible if not impossible. Even a used one will not be sold at that rate. Yes only possibility is a lemon imported from outside, which can't be serviced, as warranty is not valid here. Better stay away from this one.

I'm seriously looking to buy a Plasma. I can see a number of models mentioned here for the 2013 lineup, but Pana India site lists only 3 models!!
any help please. I'm looking for a future-proof (3D,full-hd are future-proof, I'm told so :lol Plasma TV. I've been to Vijay Sales here in Pune and the salesman tried to sell me a display piece TH-P42UT50D for 55k. But I do not any reviews for the model?
Please suggest a good model. I've earlier considered the no-frills LG-PN4500. It has very good reviews. But considering Pana after seeing them side-by-side.

P42UT50D is a very good 2012 model
Pros: Full HD, 3D bit cheap(compared to 42ST50)..good Picture Quality
Cons:
wifi ready(u have to connect Ethernet internet cable) or have to buy 2000rs worth wifi dongle for wireless internet.
Bit glossy then ST series, so if you have window/door directly facing TV then will see reflection..in not No issues.
Note:
Now for 2013 there is no cheap/equavalent of UT available... so only option for us to go for ST60D... (s60 is not 3D Model)

42UT50, even a new piece should not cost anything more than 55K. This being a display piece shall cost you not more than 30K. I will advise against buying it, unless it is too sweet a deal to ignore. Display pieces are mishandled like anything from Sales guy to customers. Better buy anything from the new lineup.
Only problem i see here is, very limited stock.
2 of my friends bought 42UT50 from Pai international Indiranagar. Paid 55k.
50UT50 is out of stock..

60K for new piece is not true...
2 weeks back my friends bought it for 55k from Pai showroom..if you want i can check with the sales guys for availability.

Just leave your phone number and and offer of around 25-30K with that store. Tell them you are interested till you are not acquiring another, and look around for a fresh piece. The new one shall be around 50. It is an old model and availability is an issue. It might be available with few online retailers as well (Shopclues, Infibeam, Indiatimes etc), but can't suggest o buy from them as it a delicate item and prone to crack etc. The return in such case will be tough if not nightmarish.
