The Movies I Liked

What I loved most about this movie is the sound. It had incredible sound mixing.

For a low budget action flick, it was extremely well done and at times reminded me of District 9.

it exactly reminded me of district 9 too, as u said the SQ was incredible ,so was the action and the way the movie has been shot

71: Into the Fire (2010) - IMDb

A simple true story of 71 student soldiers of south korea who are assigned to defend Pohang against the invading north korea

The group of 71 student soldiers hold back the invading north korean troupes for 11 hours before they get reinforcement

Well made with excellent production values and sets ,Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan may have set the trend many years ago with regards to the use of strained colours and realistic war violence being portrayed on screen which this movie does very well

Highly recommended, especially when viewed on the big screen!

Saw True Grit 2010
Very well shot movie about a strong brave girl and her employee :-). Highly recommended

'The boy in the striped pyjamas' - a good movie on World War period. The agony and suffering of Jews by German is captured in the movie and it touches the heart. The little German boy Bruno's friendship with a Jews boy is depicted beutifully. The end is very sad through masacre in the gas chamber, where Bruno is also died.

Similar period movie and sufferings of Jews, I have seen in another movie 'Pianist'.

Have also seen The boy in stripped pyjamas. Its a very touching story of a young german boy who befriends a jew boy. Dont miss this.\

Battle of Los Angeles [2011]
Not upto the mark. movie about alien invasion. similar to Independence Day. But this movie lacks originality

Brooklyn's Finest

Storyline

In Brooklyn, amid drug deals, violence, casual racism, poverty, housing projects, and corrupt cops, we follow three officers: Tango, African-American, working undercover, believing he's earned a promotion to a desk job but told he has to set up the bust of an ex-con who saved his life; Sal, who'll commit murder to get cash to buy a house big enough for his family; and, Eddie, the precinct's oldest beat cop, a week to go before retirement, assigned to mentor an earnest rookie.

Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004) - IMDb

Brilliantly picturised and shot war movie with great preformances

A story of 2 brothers who are forced to fight the korean war,it has superbly realistic battle scenes which are more brutal than any war movie I've ever seen...it makes you realize that war is one of the most horrifying of all human experiences. In film it is a good thing; It is necessary to communicate and teach the horror of war which the director has done it wonderfully---- in fact a stunning movie!

this is the second Korean movie i have seen followed by 71 into the fire both were brilliant ,never knew Koreans make such good movies

Saw Kung fu Panda 2 over the weekend.

The movie is nice but most of the movie is quite dark and despite having loved the first part, he refused to take the action scenes after some time. I personally feel it has become all action and much less story so may be more suitable for 5 years and above.

Yesterday i bought Pearl Harbor with DTS sound n i was pretty much amazed with the quality of sound. Fighter Planes goin here n there, bombing scenes.. aah.. :yahoo: Though this is not the first time i have seen this movie.. but ofcourse not with DTS.. ::ohyeah:
