A time pass Sci-Fi movie of saving earth, and for once it's not from the aliens, but from the solar system. Story is good and keeps the viewer interested. Nice performance by Robert Knepper and Cameron Bright. Good background score.

A good Action/Drama movie. The story is fair enough, a Cop Drama which is serious and sentimental reverence to LA cops, and good performance by Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pea. The dynamics/chemistry between these two characters is brought out very well. Cinematography is different and good.

A very good Drama movie. Story is good and revolves around a young boy who's suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorders. Played by Thomas Horn, puts forth a fantastic performance. Also good performance by Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Max von Sydow. The movie is supported by a very good/strong background score.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) - IMDb

An amazing movie esp. in IMAX 3d. The ticket prices are crazy in Bangalore 550/- per head. But this is one movie where I felt the IMAX and the 3d were extremely well utilized. Having not read the book despite having loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy, this one was entertaining and fascinating.

A must watch.

A good Danish Romance/Drama movie. The story is a slow love triangle, but interesting. Good performance by Mads Mikkelsen and Mikkel Boe Flsgaard. Cinematography is very good.

The Mumbai/Hyderabad IMAX is a traditional IMAX theater which use IMAX 3D analog 70mm projector (Xenon arc lamp technology) to project on a 1.44:1 ratio screen and it is a specially designed IMAX theatre. Including the seat arrangements. It's also cost wise high to setup

The Bangalore IMAX is a digital IMAX theater which use a double 2K-resolution Christie digital project (DLP technology) to project on a 1.85:1 ratio screen. The image quality is not as good as Mumbai/Hyderadad IMAX because it's a 2 x 2K projected image, as opposed to original 4K image. It's setup costs lower than the traditional method.

This retro-fitting standard auditoriums with IMAX digital projectors is a common practice by the theater owners. And they charge the same price as standard IMAX movie theaters as they don't seem to differentiate between the two.

Frankly, I found the quality of the IMAX in PVR better than the one at Prasad's both from a seating perspective as well as the viewing experience. But it might be down to you guys in Dreamworks making a much better movie (Hobbitt) than the one I saw there in Prasad's (Polar Express) as also the improvement over the years.

A time pass B-grade Action movie. Story is just okay type. Some good hand-to-hand combat is the only thing makes the movie a bit watchable. The only interesting part in the movie is the story twist in the end. Watch this movie if you have that extra 90 mins and wondering what to do.

A good Sci-Fi/Drama movie. Story is a bit complex and long IMO, six distinct stories switching between them randomly and spanning from the 19th century to the post-apocalyptic future. Watching this movie is like solving a puzzle. Editing between the six stories is well done. Visual are very good. Nice background score, and very good performance by Tom Hanks .

A very good test for all your HT system is a very poetical movie called The Tree of Life, written and directed by Terence Malick. It will test the dynamic range of any system. It is a hard watch if you can't deal with non-linear movies but it has an emotional depth that really silences criticism. There is very little dialogue and a lot of it is whispered, but the scenes of the creation of the world really roars!
