Toshiba P2305 39" Review

Hi guys,

I like to buy 39p2305 toshiba tv from flipkart for my home. But the problem is, we still use local cable connection in my home town. how is the picture quality of p2035 with cable input? could somebody share images of p2035 with cable input.

Thanks in advance
Afrath

Well I don't know about the specific model Toshiba 39 P2305, as I don't have one.But I have a Toshiba Cricket Series LED TV 39' Inch Model 39L3300, which to me personally is quite an awesome Tv with exceptional picture quality. As I Guess (Not 100% Sure) Toshiba 39 P2305 also comes under the special category of Cricket Series, picture quality would hardly be of any difference to What i Get on my 39L3300.Toshiba Cricket Series LED TV'S with Full HD are all awesome. All thought here is a link, for those who want to check it out, how the picture quality is on My Toshiba Cricket Series LED TV 39' Inch Model 39L3300 Running on Direct-To-Home (Videcon d2h), have a look at it, feel free to drop in your comments. I did try to upload the clip in youtube, but the picture quality really gets downgraded, so I have uploaded the file itself for a better view as I have shot this specific clip using my Samsung Galaxy S 4 which is full HD capable of recording. File size is bit more, something like 97 MB for 47 Second Clip , But thats always the problem with full HD. http://goo.gl/ADRgp7

Hi guys,

I like to buy 32p2305 Cricket series Toshiba tv.
My requirements are:
Viewing Distance: 7 to 8 ft max.
Set top box: SD Airtel DTH with RCA output.

Based on it should I go for 32 inch LED TV or 28 inch ?
How is 32p2305 Cricket series Toshiba tv feedback?
The Sales guy at my local store told me it is IPS panel.

Thanks,
Rahul

Thank U all for this lovely thread. I am new to this, just bought p2305. Just want to know Can I connect this to any 5.1 home theatre system?

This is a good thread :)

Flipkart offers it at a great price but (WS Retail) doesn't ship to Hyderabad!
Infibeam, no stock
Snapdeal does ship but price is a bit high; Croma selling at even higher.

I wish to buy this product tomorrow. Can anyone suggest a few Hyderabad malls/stores which offer competitive prices?

Thank you

Hi guys.

I was looking to purchase a 32 inch LED tv for the house after our age old Sony CRT finally gave up. It had lasted for over 17 years.

Of course, these days, people say that the shelf life of televisions are between 5 to 10 years, and that reliability is far more suspect than earlier.

My dad keeps insisting on buying a Sony TV, given that Sony still has goodwill in the house, but from the prices I have seen, they are quite expensive for what you get.

The cheapest I could find on Flipkart was the 32R412, for Rs. 31k

Sony BRAVIA KLV-32R412B 32 inches LED TV - Sony: Flipkart.com

Considering you can get plenty of other brands for less than 30k, I am still pushing for another tv, specifically, the
Toshiba P2305Z 32 inch model which is very popular on these boards. It was 20k on FK till yesterday, now it's gone up to 21.5k . Still, 10k cheaper than the Sony and with 3 years warranty.

My dad is still adamant, am even I am on the fence as to whether Toshiba is worth it. The main fear is that it will be unreliable, and dad will be pissed off that we didn't buy the Sony.

Is it worth going for the Toshiba. Is it reliable these days?

Also, since the silver soundbar at the bottom is not really preferred, I found this model, the 32P2400, with a black soundbar. Otherise, it looks the same as the 2305Z. WHat's your opinion on this piece? It only comes with 1 year warranty.

Hi Akshay,,

Could you please tell me that how you connected your 2.1 channel external speakers and what setting did you use because i tried a lot but not able to connect it on the same t.v. .

Guys, I have booked Toshiba 39L3300 at a local showroom for 1000 Rs. Total price is 39.5K and I haven't taken delivery yet. I took photograph of a sealed package and serial number so that I can verify I am getting the same piece when taking delivery.
I noticed the manufacturer name on the box is given Dixon India and mfg. date is May 2014. Somewhere in this thread I saw a photo of same model package which said manufacturer is Toshiba Indonesia and mfg.date was Aug 2013. I guess lately Toshiba moved the production to Dixon India. Should I be worried about the panel and build quality

No. You should be fine. Even mine is manufactured by Dixon and I am not sure the ones imported from Indonesia carry Toshiba India warranty.

Thanks! Yes, the ones imported by Toshiba India from Toshiba Indonesia also should be carrying the 3 year warranty since it is officially imported and sold here. I just hope Dixon has not compromised the quality or is using inferior LCD panels. Not too worried about unit failing as we have 3 year warranty, but panel quality in terms of clarity and color reproduction?

I connected it using Red/White cables from Amplifier to TV as TV does not have a 3.5mm jack.

actually I tried it but it's not working. is thare any setting for the same and which port on back panel did you use for connecting external speakers. Kindly elaborate your steps for my help. I have 5.1 channel speakers from Intex wich worked fine on my pc but not on T.V.

tanks in advance.

Toshiba P2305 vs L3300 query

Guys, am going to purchase a 39 inch Toshiba tv and have narrowed down the choices between the 39P2305 vs 39L3300

Will be purchasing the tv from flipkart.
The prices are:

39P2350: Rs. 36,717
39L3300: Rs. 35,500

I have come across lots of reviews of the P2305 but none of the L3300. I feel that I should go in for the L3300. Only:

1. Will the sound quality be as good as the P2305. The stores did not have L3300, so cannot compare. But it apparently has a front sound bar like the P2305, only smaller and hidden in the bezel itself, instead of being visible like the P2305.

2. Would the picture quality and reliability be as good as the P2305? Both come with three year warranty.

Also, if I want the wall mount parts, but do not want to mount the TV on the wall, will Toshiba provide me with the parts, as I may want to wall mount it later, but it would then cost me money.

For this question only a L3300 can give an honest opinion. the sound of the P2305 is really great & also around 20 W which is the same with L3300 only the positioning is different so there shouldn't be much of difference

Both has same panel as far as i know hence the PQ should be the same

Wall mount is provided by Toshiba itself while they come for home demo, its free of cost. you can as him to give it to you so that you can fit it later

Guys, thank you for all the feedback. I purchased a Toshiba 39L3300 from flipkart. It got delivered on Monday morning. :)

Flipkart has made a request to Toshiba to get installation done, but it's been two days now and noone from Toshiba has called or got back. I cannot open the TV myself as it will invalidate the warranty.

When I called Toshiba, they said Flipkart made the request (even though I received a ticket number), and that I cannot place any request for installation.

I hope they at least come today. This is giving me a bad impression about Toshiba, am wondering how to escalate this matter so that they get the work done.

Also, would wall or table mount be preferable for this. It will be installed in the drawing room.
