Vinyl I am listening to...

Thanks for recalling. Just listened/watched to the Malayalam song in Youtube after long time. Amazing that the song is set entirely in a different context from the Tamil version even though the tune is same.

The description to Youtube video says it was first made in Malayalam and later reused in other languages. Is it so?

No, Auto raja was the first one to get recorded. Illayaraja himself said that in a public show regarding this song, which is made of just 3 notes. He then just went on demonstrating how a song can be made with just 3 notes.....
Later he reused this tune with variations in Hindi Film "Pa" , just for Mr. Balki.

Tonight's listening - 'Raagam Thedum Pallavi'. Two nice solo songs by SPB.

This is one my most favorite albums that I never get tired listening to. I remember buying this audio cassette along with my first 'Walkman' and listening to it at least 2 times a day for weeks:). May be this is my 'most listened' album until now.

Nice to see that you have got it in vinyl format, that too in mint condition:)

Got back to listening to vinyl after a long gap. Spinning James Blunt's All The Lost Souls. Dark, brooding, but catchy refrains.
