Vinyl I am listening to...

Listened by "Iravu Pookkal" (Tamil) by Ilaiyaraja. It has a very nice song "Malli malli chendu malli". Only that song is mentioned as Stereo.

Still shudder every time that title comes up. Will some Moderator please change it to 'Vinyl', which is both singular and plural?

Audiophile friend dropped in yesterday night and we enjoyed a very nice vinyl session.

First up was Jazzmine, by the great Ravi Shankar. This was one of the products of the Jazz Yatra festivals organized during the 80s and has many renowned Indian and International artists in the ensemble.
Up next was Lataji at the Royal Albert Hall with the Wren Orchestra. This is one of her best live programme recording.
We ended with a vintage studio recording of HMV. Motion Picture Music of India has Anarkali on one side and Nagin on the other. This studio recording sounds far better than all the releases of records pressed from the original soundtracks.

sorry for the poor photo. Shall take off the plastic covers next time.

Regards,

Listening to few LPs I got today.
1. "THE SOUL OF BOBBY". Instrumental music by Laxmikant-Pyarelal duo, based on background score of Bobby.
Only a few copies were pressed in 1974 and is a hard to find LP today.
