Couple of Malayalam LPs for today's listening

Padayottam - Music by Guna Singh who has scored background score for more than 1000 movies. The music stands out from the usual Malayalam film music from the early 80s. This appears to be the first 70mm movie in Malayalam with a stunning star cast.

WOW! nice one.
PADAYOTTAM was the only 70mm 6 track(analogue) sound Malayalam film.
I think it was SL Theater/Athulya where we have seen it.
What a film it was... grandeur... Navodaya Appachan (the producer) and Jijo(His son-The Director) were instrumental in bringing new Technology to South Indian Film world. Like First Techno-color, First 6 Track , First 70 MM and First 3D etc

In sound audition terms this was the equivalent of "Hotel California - Hell Freezes over" back then. If you went to buy a record player the seller would play this LP to demo the prowess of the said system.

And when someone first bought a stereo system you would be invited to sample the new fangled technology. This LP will be duly played and..

"Hear now! Drums from right side only! And Trumpet from left side only!! This is STEREO only saar!!! "

Very True aks07.
My father used to demonstrate us the STEREO Fantasy, using this record. Also, I remember that we demonstrated the STEREO effects using this record in an Inter district school level Science exhibition then.
good old days....

There is one by Mr. Ramamoorthy also (of Viswanathan-ramamoorthy duo).
The Album was titled "Jazz Jazz Jazz". According to me, this album is much more innovative than MSV's album.
