Dizzy Reece - Progress Report (Atelior Sawano Japan Edition)

Spinning Bert Kaempfert's Forever My Love, Polydor India. I was apprehensive of buying this record as I was afraid it would not measure up to my CD of his Bestseller album. My fears are, fortunately, unfounded. Dynamic brass section, airy ambience, hard hitting percussions. Very well mastered.

This is a legendary session and no matter how many times I've listened to it, it's ALWAYS amazing. The sound and mastering of THIS particular version is stunning. The horns sound absolutely spot on, warm and inviting. You must listen to this version of the vinyl...I like it better than my Classic Records 200g vinyl, but thats just personal taste.

Listening to the live recordings of the last concert of Mukeshji [USA-Canada 1976]. He collapsed on the stage and died after ....Lathaji accompanied him during the concert.
A Twin LP released in 1977 by EMI, each with 10 tracks .
The center page of the LP is printed with a Photo of Mukeshji taken by Lathaji and a self signed note by Lathaji.

Jaane Kahan Gaye wo Din.........
Aaj Phir Jeena Ki Tamanna hai
Awaara Hoon

sweet ones to listen ....

Hello Forum Members,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I am from Ranchi. I have four turntables, though none is really a top end or hifi:
1. HMV Fiesta (wooden)
2. HMV Fiesta Popular (orange/black plastic case)
3. Philips 22GF633 Stereo
4. Philips 832 Stereo with 2 wooden sound box.

I have a good collection of Lps & EPs which I inhereted from my dad who bought the first player in the list in 1975. I acquired some vinyls later and now I am waiting for Kuch Kuch hota hai, dil to pagal hai, DDLJ, Kabhi khushi kabhi ghum, & sufiaana LPs to be delivered by flipkart. Would love to hear these new LPs & compare them to recording of 80s. Cant wait...
I am also planning to modify my Philips 832 with a new wooden cabinet coupled with a home theater.
Any views?

Welcome Saket.
Hope you are planning to take the channel outputs from the built in amp and feed it to an external amp....
good luck.
I have a Philips 832 in almost brand new state with a spare unused cartridge in original box.

1. A Malayalam Mini LP/EP of IR + Balumahendra film - OLANGAL. Fantastic songs. The Song "Thumbi vaa" (S Janaki got an award) is based on the tune of "Sangathil Padatha ...."But Thumbi Va released first. Balu Mahendra heard Sangathil during recording and asked IR to use the Tune in his movie.

Hey Thanks a lot Anil for your reply. Nice to get first reply. Yes, I want to take the output channels to external amp. Have you tried similar stuff? if yes, how did it go?

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
