Vinyl I am listening to...

Any fan of that unloved album Three Sides To Every Story by Extreme? I personally think it is a seminal work, too vast in its scale and ambition and it's political message. The execution is slick and the orchestral compositions by Nuno Bettencourt are not nothing less than fine symphonic pieces.

And to think that the world knows them more for their soppy acoustic ballad!

Yesterday was one of the longest spinning session, in the recent past. From 5:00PM to 12 midnight non stop.

Limewire,
Is that copy of the Beatles 'Yesterday and Today' a paste-over Butcher cover (2nd state) ? The pic you posted seems to indicate so, tho' only a clear visual inspection could confirm it.

@G401fan,

I couldnt figure out this by visual inspection. Its said, on ringos right side, black triangle shades would be visible. May be, this cover suffered moisture, the glue must have dampened.

I tried to etch peel in few spots.. Alas, it went up to the cardboard..

I tried to see through under a bright focus light, but light could not pass through

Only one thing gives a positive feel. I could see a sheet got pasted on top of it, with a gap of 2-3 MM from the outer border.

My introduction to 'Extreme' was thru' "Three sides to every story". Initially, my brother gifted me a music-cassette of the album that I liked very much. Subsequently, I picked up a music CD of the album on SALE for just Rs.110/-!!!

.

There is a single black triangle shade to the right of the trunk cover, which corresponds to the black sweater worn by Ringo in the original butcher photo. You don't need a bright light to spot it. Your pic of the cover shows a little discolouration in that area- maybe that's obscuring it.

I tried it all.. I think too much of dampening happened to this cover and got dis colored very much, white has turned to yellow.

The only hope Im relying on now is, with the pasted sheet, which shows of well both as a layer & border.

btw, what would be the appx size of the black triangle?

@Limewire
The band broke up after this album! As far as I know, the band did face some troubles during the recording sessions of this album and some of the materials were left out - as a filler, the narration of Gary Brookers epic poem The worm & the tree was recorded on the B side (pure self-indulgence), thereby scuttling any chance of success! The album bombed big time!!! However, Side-A contains pretty decent numbers. Since this album didnt sell much, currently it is being sold at a premium!!! Deep Purple too lost its touch after the break up of its successful line-up!

Just received the courier, instantly clicked & blocked it for tonight's play..

For Byrds & Sex Pistols( bootleg) I paid a bomb, for they being collectors item.
Johnny Cash & The Who, yes they are my all time favorites.

All U.S pressings in near mint condition.
