Far Corporation is a British band created by record producer Frank Farian, who created the bands Boney M. and Milli Vanilli. The name was shortened from "Frank Farian Corporation", which was originally put together to record a cover of the Paul Simon piece "Mother and Child Reunion" as a charity record and reached the top 10 in several European countries. That group's lineup included members of Barclay James Harvest, Toto, Boney M and Force Majeure.

Hello Abhraneel & welcome back after a long hiatus

The song 'Chand sa koi chechra' was recorded for Sholay but was later dropped from the movie due to the long running time of the movie. Lyrist Anand Bakshi lent his voice along with prominent singers of that era for the song.

Thanks for remembering me. I am still in hibernation and I have very limited access to net. But whenever I get a chance, I do browse through this forum.
Well, what i know about the "chand sa koi chehra" song is that it was picturised on Danny who was a part of this film. Later, when Danny moved away, Sippy Sa'ab decided to cut that song from the film.

Heaven is on the Cherrie Pie album, have that one on CD. The ballad on this LP is Sometimes She Cries.

last night's listening, another borrowed LP, Giant - Last of the Runaways

This album is perhaps one of the best AOR records ever released, contains the huge hit "I'll see you in my dreams", pity Giant came out with only 4 albums in all (have all 4 on cd)

Great song. I associate this song with a college classmate (a native of Allahabad), from whom I first heard. Lots of good memories. His "mix tape" was a recording from a rock radio station, recorded by his elder brother when he was studying at an university in Texas

Wow!! similar story, I heard it when I too was in college back in 1990 when our neighbour came back from Phili in the United States with a collection of recordings made up from Rock FM radio stations. He also had a huge collection of Pop FM station recordings from the 1980s which made fantastic listening. We were so fascinated by the quality of programming of those American FM stations vs our the AIR and Vividh Barthi stations we had in Trivandrum, back then. It was like a dream.
