Vinyl I am listening to...

t : it can't be that bad; its Porcupine Tree. After listening to it yesterday, i must say that it is pretty good, however i think I'll need a few more listens. On a side note : I'd like to mention Tonefloat records. I can understand why PT albums are priced on the higher side. The packaging, the quality of packaging and presentation.they're simply jaw dropping!

For long time, P.T is on my wish list.. From where you sourced this and how much you paid ?

I got it from here:
https://www.burningshed.com/store/porcupinetree/product/93/1684/add/1684/

Change the 'country' to India on the right side of the page and you'll get the exact price. I paid something between 26-27 pounds (everything included). I had a 10% coupon (got that coupon in the previous parcel i received from Burningshed). Otherwise it would've been 2 pounds extra.

Now listening Don McLean's 'American Pie'. His second album. An album listed in the book "1001 Albums You Must Here Before You Die". Recently got in mint condition without album art. A nice album to must hear and have....

Police : Ghost in the Machine

From wiki:
The cover art for Ghost in the Machine features a seven-segment display-inspired graphic
that depicts the heads of the three band members each with a distinctive hair style
(from left to right, Andy Summers, Sting with spiky hair, and Stewart Copeland with a fringe);
The album's cover is ranked at number 45 on VH1's 50 Greatest Album Covers.
The graphic was designed by Mick Haggerty.

The black label is the early/initial release/pressing, sometime pre-1970, whereas the red label record is pressed sometime after 1974(AFAIK). HMV kept changing their label designs time to time and their is no comprehensive document/record that describe this changes.

Yesterday was great Salil Chowdhury's 88th Birthday.

In 1978 Salil Chowdhury scored for the Malayalam film "Madanolsavam" starring Kamal Hasan(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madanolsavam) . The film was later dubbed into Tamil as "Paruva Mazhai" and Hindi as "Dil Ka Saath Dil" and all the songs are my favorite. Music India released the Hindi LP in 1981.

The heavy, Black labeled LP is the first print.
This the first non-film STEREO LP by K.J. Yesudas. (may be the first STEREO LP in Malayalam).
The STEREO effect in this LP is also good.
All songs are very popular and are still being played during festive seasons (esp Onam).

@Anil I did observed some difference while listening compared to normal stereo. its like voice coming from right and music coming from left.
