Just picked up this vinyl of Brand New - The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me

Had heard a lot about the album and decided to pick it up from Amazon UK. Album is great, punk/hard rock/emo stuff. If you're a fan of this type of music I recommend picking it up.

Another thing though, is i ordered from Amazon UK and paid about GBP 27 shipped, and I got the red marbled version limited to 666 copies. I looked on eBay and this version is selling for over $100 already! That's crazy. It's still available on Amazon UK if anyone is interested in picking this up as an investment (and a rocking album)

Today going to play two film LPs composed by T. Rajender....

Pookal Vidum Thoodhu.. 1987 release.. The title song "Kathiravani Parthu Kaali Vidum Thoodhu" with K.J Yesudhas voice.. so nice to hear..

Pookalai Parikatheergal... another good album.

Both are nice albums

After Kathiravani paarthu [KJJ], Moongil Kattoram by Spb,chitra is my favorite from Pookal Vidum Thoodhu.

Solaigal Ellaam K.S. Chitra, S.P.Balasubramaniam is my favorite from Pookalai Parikatheergal

Does an exclusive Hindi one exist? would love to know. He has such a great voice!
I have some songs of Chitchor on EP and him singing a few songs on my LP "film Hits of 1978"

I think I have an LP of his tamil hits with me though.

I am not listening to this LP but just wanted to share that I have bought my first LP (Florence and the machine-Lungs), even though I don't have a turntable :lol:
I just want make sure that I listen to "Cosmic Love" whenever I get my first turntable :clapping:

One of his recent songs I remember is o Bhavre which is my one of the favourites. I do not know if hindi ones exist. Btw does anyone know if any of Jagjit Sing's LPs have Hoshwalon ko Khabar Kya track?

I have fond memories of watching this movie ' DULARI' on 'Doordharshan' in the small reception of a lodge ( Vishal Lodge in JAMMU), chilling weather ( December 1989 ), small B&W tv.I was not very familiar with the language but the song '' SUHANI RAAT DHAL CHUKI'' affected me so much with its melody, the depth of the voice, the song's situation and the music, that it remained in my heart.It is one of my fav Hindi songs.

I can appreciate your feeling. Congratulations.
I had done the same thing. I had already bought some 78s I knew I wanted to listen on my TT first.

ok great. Must say he sounds great on vinyl. In fact, having heard him in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujrati, Oriya, Telugu and Tamil, I feel that his wonderful tonal quality comes out well in everything he sings. I also think he works hard on his pronounciation in all languages and makes songs special. An artist who gets my total respect. One of the last greats.

V.S. Narasimhan was Illayaraja's special violinist. He used him many of his earlier songs with kind of jazz touch.

V.S. Narasimhan has released couple of solo non filmy violin and fusion albums also in Vinyl. I have such one.

Its christmas time and a friend lent me his copy of the Beach Boys Christmas Album, listened to that yesterday.

After that, decided to have a Thrash Metal evening with 2 big albums (on CD)

Chaos sounded really good.
