Today had the opportunity to listed to some 78 rpms. Included was an shellac produced by Village Defence Committee, Mumbai in early sixties. “Hum EK Hai” . This was picturised with Raaj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Kanwaljeet(Waheeda Rehman’s husband). A known patriotic song, this is a must listen. Can be viewed on social media.

Today afternoon was Instrumental Day with some of the iconic bands. The Savages, was a Bombay based band comprising Bashir Sheik(drums),Hemant Rao(lead guitar) and others. This Lp record was produced sometime in late sixties or early seventies. The Polydor recording was very good.

One of the records I have been listeing from childhood. Many of you would have enjoyed/enjoing this record...
Persuasive Percussion was an LP album performed by Terry Snyder and the All Stars and released in 1959 by Command Records (run by Enoch Light).
In April 1960, the album reached number 1 on The Billboard's ,and stayed at the top for 13 weeks. It spent a total of 124 weeks on the top selling albums charts

Today it was Dev Anand two classics. ‘Tree Ghar ke Samne’ and ‘ Shokion Mein Ghola Jaye’ were the definitive numbers , though others were very good. And ,yes, Anil, Terry Snyder was good. Recall wearing out this LP on a changer of the same era.
