Okay , so putting 3D rips on an external hdd and plugging it in via usb to the TV , would make the 3D's work then .??
And can i connect my laptop via ethernet cable to tv .?


Also can the D6600 upscale normal SD content (from DTH suppose )to 1080p .??
Also 720p mkv played from USB can be upscaled by the TV .?Is there an option .?

Any content that is not 1080p is unscaled by the TV to 1080p but that does not mean that it will necessarily look good all the time. Usually a DVD/Bluray/ player is better at up scaling than a TV

Yes you can play 3D movies by plugging in an external HDD

A laptop can only be connected via HDMI connector, ethernet is only used to connect a wired Internet connection to the TV.

All Samsung TV's have excellent upscaling capabilities and upscale everything into 1080p better than most dvd/bluray players and set top boxes.

Do not worry about that at all. I have a Samsung 51inch 3D plasma and i plug in hard disk and watch everything from 3d bluray rips to 2d bluray rips to dvd rips and it upscales very very well and it all looks gr8. Even the cable tv 480i signal is upscaled amazing well by samsung. Dont worry about that at all

Too late now. The offer is over

But do not fret. Wait for a month or two and the prices will come down 10 to 20% or even more. That always happens in december january time and price keeps on going down from then on. But for now the offer is over and the dealers will not give you the freebies as far as i know unless you really bargain hard but still not easy

Even i wanted to do that but then i bought Samsung 51D550 plasma 3dtv(51inch) which is almost as good as 55D6600 led and even better in certain respects and only costs around 63-65k (ask prankey for current best price).

51 inch and 55inch is not all that different and also plasmas has very good 3d capabilities with almost no crosstalk.

I suggest you take a look at it Even i wanted to buy a 3d led but then after a lot of searching on internet for review and also in this forum i bought 51D550 plasma and i am very very happy with its incredible pq especially its 3d.

I have been a hard core Samsung fan but their 3D aint any good. I recently bought LW6500. Even though the apps are inferior to Samsung, their 3D is awesome. Also the USb plays all formats of movies including the the ripped 3d SBS movies. Picture quality is pretty good. And the matte screen does'nt matter once you start watching.
