I'ave placed the order & expecting delivery tomorrow evening. My Toroid is also due anytime now.

Will do a side by side comparision and post the results.

He seems to be unaware of the 'Flux Band' though.:sad:

He said he will find out. He says that he will use top of the line materials, i.e. the laminated core, 1st quality copper wiring etc and the finished product would be varnished. He asked me to use it & see.

He is willing to do anything for me because he happens to be my colleague's cousin and I as the security officer of the Bank earn enough respect from the staff including his cousin.:D

Could Kieth or anyone else give me some info on this flux band as to where to get it.:rolleyes:

you will need to get a brass strip of the right size maybe 1mm thick and improvise.

Are you getting a 400VA EI core Tranny for 500? That will be huge and great price as well!

Cap'n, gobble is right - the band is just a strip [band]. But he is wrong in saying that it is a "brass" strip. It should be a COPPER strip. And it should be at least 2 mm thick.

Please read this for some more information. Apart from the flux band, there is more information in there to confuse you :lol:

The E&I Tranny has come.:yahoo: Weighs 1420 grams. Looks beautiful. :licklips:

Will post the pics by evening I guess.

Got to replace the 30Volt 10 A tranny with this by evening.

No sign of the Toroid though. Spoke to Pradeep of Miracle. He doesn't know the status. If not despatched, promised to despatch today.

Can't do the side by side comparo:sad:
 
Have always rooted for the underdog so my bet is on the EI. It will make your amp sound better than the toroid :D

I shall await the National weather tomorrow report that says your hangover has cleared ... :)
 
The EI has a very industrial look, hope it lives up to its reputation....

Then i think your review on tonight cannot be considered.:) Probably your 2 channel may sound like a 7.1 HT.
