Is E6 the best LED that Panasonic has ever produced?

no 3-yrs warranty now i missed that by 1 day and panna is not ready to listen or consider, they want 8K extra for extended warranty.

for stocks the place where i bought also have few DT & ET in stock.

Buy extended warranty and have peace of mind. 8k is not much for 3 years of warranty.

As i am going to book 50e6 in another 10 days(I hope it will be in stock) ,i have few doubts.Experts and E6 owners pls answer.

1)My prev Tv was a sony 32 inches Lcd so i am very much excited about getting a big 50 inches :yahoo: and like to get good quality sound from the tv to get home theater experience..Since the tv speakers may have poor sound, i would like to connect External speaker.Is it possible to do that in this tv?


2) I am going to get v guard crystal plus stabilizer.What are the other things i should get to protect the tv from lightning and other things?Pls suggest product and brand name.

3) If i opt for extended warranty whom should i contact? Pls provide detailed information about this.

4)Do they provide Wall mount and Hdmi cable with the TV? Where can i get a good quality HDMI cable(online) if they don't provide it with tv?

You can get get extended warranty from Panasonic brand Shop. Also the TV doesn't come with an HDMI cable bundled.

1. Yes, it's possible to connect your TV with external speakers. There are RCA and Optical connectivity options for your Audio.

2. You're already getting a V-Guard stabilizer, you can also get an UPS.

3. Contact Panasonic for extended warranty. I don't think they're offering that anymore but it might come back for Christmas and New Year.

4. Yes, they provide wall mount but not HDMI cable. You can get Bandridge, Belkin, Logitech whichever you want. All of them will serve you well.

don't book (or pay full amount) just keep an eye on the stock , go and buy in 1-short.

TV will come with Slim wall mount ( just like how you hang a poster frame in wall)

You have to pay extra if you want other mount with some flexibility

Since this is not a big city, panasonic tv's are really hard to find(not even a brandshop availabe here) so all other shops are promoting sony and samsung.If e6 is also unavailable my next coice is samsung 51f5500,i would like to get e6 and waiting...

This is one of the reviews in amazon "most people recommend switching off the Panasonic Intelligent Frame Creation for clearer pictures, unfortunately this model doesn't have IFC".

Can 50e6 owners comment on this.I hate soap opera effect.Is there a option to turn it off.I will pay the full payment in few days time if the tv is available and if there is no such option to turn off intelligent frame creation it will be extremely disappointing.Also how is it when watching movies and sports as it is just 100HZ

Great point. I have no clue about E6, but on my ST60, I have turned IFC off. Movies look really like a soap if I turn that ON on any setting.

My suggestion is demo the set first with a fast movie action video clip and then decide on the TV.

are you serious???? the Panasonic 42E6D was costing 65k... after negotiating and negotiating..it came down to 56k....the salesman spoke to his senior and he came down to 53k...final price...45k is definitely not gonna happen.:sad:

Check the link in my signature it has the way how you can check the total run-time of the Tv, when you visit next time to shop check it. and negociate hard. Else wait for few weeks new stock of E6 is landing in India, you will probably get fresh price @ 53-54K

Almost similar situation here. Most of the shops don't have Panasonic LEDs and in one shop I got the info that new stocks will come only after Jan 15th. Don't know whether to wait or I can get Samsung 51f5500 which is available now. Really confused

hahaha.. thanks for helping me find the price....but I dunno what else to do as they told me right away that they cant go lower than 53k... in-fact i did ask for a round figure, 50k.... they didnt agree..
and about it being the one on display for more than 30 days, is purchasing it risky??? if so, why??

and how much should the usage hours be, in-case its ok to buy the one on display..

tv not in standby, regardless any mode.
press and hold volume down button and press info button on remote 3 times.
press 2 on remote
press OK on remote
navigate using the remote to the cell next to "PTCT :00.00.00.00.00", the cell where the time suppose to display.
press MUTE repeatedly for few time.
i got the screen as shown above.

However, it was for a different Panasonic model, does it apply to the E6D too????

haha that a easy way out to get rid of potential customers and brainwash them to buy different model/brand. check my frustration filled-thread when the dealer asking me to take a LG-model when they failed to deliver the TV on committed date.

yes will work on all Panasonic E6 models, if not working try with channel- key.
there is a thread dedicated to this, it will be helpful checking that, that has pic of each & every steps.
