Is E6 the best LED that Panasonic has ever produced?

I just got back from Ambiance Mall Gurgaon and took some demos. I think I will zero down to the 42E6D because it is an all rounder. I have to bear with a silver bezel again!

What's the lowest quote you got? I went to 3 shops and the lowest quote was 57500. Need to go to few more shops.

@rmbornfree, I didn't say it's very good coz I haven't demoed any games on it. I've only demoed SD and HD only and I didn't see any lagging or juddering in fast moving scenes. The games that you're playing won't have any problem on that TV, I guess.

@Rockfella, Panasonic was offering that warranty on some Festive Offer, I think.

Ideally I should wait for some festival/offers but my Dell 22" is dead so it is more like an emergency now. Can't watch movies/work on 17" CRT. Never used one before. Got a temporary backup from friend:indifferent14:.Anyway good to know 3 years was on offer not standard warrantee.

So don't wait, get the E6D if you've decided. But the price of electronics will come down this Budget. So if you can wait a bit, you might get at much cheaper price that what you're quoted right now. Panasonic and other companies raised the price in Jan as they know the price will come down this Budget.

When is the new budget expected?

"As far as prices are concerned, we are in the process of studying and assessing the impact. This two percent cut in excise is a welcome change even though it is likely to have diminutive impact on prices," Panasonic India Managing Director Manish Sharma said.

Videocon D2H has more channels but if you want Better PQ and AQ the go for TS or AIRTEL.
Go for TS it has 24 HD channels and they showcase 3D movies too :)

Sorry to diver from the topic on E6. But I disagree with this statement, TS or Airtel does not have better PQ than D2h. PQ of all the 3 are the same, i have watched TS HD for over 2 years and still own one connection, also have d2h HD. PQ is same no difference at all, only advantage is D2h is cheaper and does not burn a hole in your pocket like TS HD. It will cost a bomb to watch the 24 hd channels on TS. on d2h i pay Rs 170 for watching over 21 HD channels. The HD access fee of TS is a killer and inflates the pricing for all channels.

I also had this misconception that TS HD has better PQ, post moving to D2h 3 months back i must admit TS having better PQ is a myth, D2H has the same PQ and there is no difference at all.

I am looking to buy 42 to 47 inch, non-smart, non-3D HDTV. I am considering E6. I see that Panasonic international website has been updated with New TVs.

1) is it worth waiting for new models?
2) Are the old models available?
3) any idea when the 2014 range will get launched in India?

Appreciate any help
