And then the next day I get the delivery of the E6.:clapping:
The delivery guy opened the case and showed me the tv, no breakages and no finger prints, all stickers on the bezel intact, no scratches, The Tv looked brand new out of the box. The very next day got it demoed and wall mounted by the pana guys. Switched on checked the usage hours, seems new tv ( will post a question on this below). I was using a local cable before , as suggested by some hathway users where their tv suffered voltage surge burns I decided to go for the digital tv. Afterall I have spent some moolah on tv. I am yet to decide between airtel and tata sky.
Loaded some movies and videos on usb. Some of them where not upto the mark and I was like disappointed where is the PQ everyone is talking about. The I reworked the aspect ratio and moved to orginal, the source is not so great , y blame the tv, then I played this FLV player file in HD file content. OMG OMG I was shocked to see the picture quality, and then I knew I got the right set , ITs just amazing how this tv handles HD content. Next day I got the soft ware upgraded and played HD videos on youtube, WOW WOW WOW, so good it looked . Completely blown away. I think this is an awesome tv wit amazing PQ and blacks. Will add review on SD channels as soon as I get the digital tv set up.
Sounds aren't bad as said in reviews in fact the HD content sounds are pretty good. Yes if a guy speaks with a hot potato in mouth accent or speaks pretty low with lot of base like the Vito Corleone in godfather then the speech isn't very clear ( u may need the subtitles) but the desi talk on all files I played its pretty good I should say including couple of English/ hindi MP3 I played
I didnt find anything very sluggish (again perspective and how patient, I consider myself very impatient though) with smart tv stuff as said in some reviews. Yes it isn't i5 or i7 processor it takes some 5- 8 secs to load you tube app or the browser , but u will forget the wait once u start playing the videos for its PQ
I also streamed songs/ videos and photos from my phone on to tv via wifi. Works all good. No sluggishness on song play, but if u stream the photos pretty fast ( each the size of 3 mb +) it takes some time and I mean say 10 sec- 15 second lag at least. And this lag only happens say once u have streamed for say some 10 photos. the first 10 move pretty fast but then the lag catches up. Connected sony xperia via hdmi to tv it works fine though resolution wast right some how - not that it matters to me
My Qs if someone could help me with answers:
1. Will the usage hours be reset to zero if some one had factory reset the tv?
I know it is a stupid question though , bcos if it was possible then all the display pieces would have been factory reset and sold as fresh pieces. I didnt want to try it on the tv as I had upgraded the viera version and didnt want to factory reset and lose it. Still would like to know ( Just me wearing the black hat again looking for some conspiracy )
2. The TV has only digital out , then I noticed a HDMI ARC and found after research that if the home theatre system has ARC enabled HDMI then can use this as the output and input between HT system and TV, so needn't use a digital out again back to HT. Is it true ? Also some internet forums stated that for that the HDMI has to be at v 1.4 . IS this TV on v1.4 HDMI? or in short if in future I look out for an HT do I need worry about the HDMI ARC port of the dvd/ Blu ray or HT system or only worry on HDMI out and digital in?
3. How the hell :annoyed: do I get the damn finger prints on the tv screen off? It didnt have any wen I got the tv, now after installation I have plenty of the installation guy
