Is E6 the best LED that Panasonic has ever produced?

And then the next day I get the delivery of the E6.:clapping:
The delivery guy opened the case and showed me the tv, no breakages and no finger prints, all stickers on the bezel intact, no scratches, The Tv looked brand new out of the box. The very next day got it demoed and wall mounted by the pana guys. Switched on checked the usage hours, seems new tv ( will post a question on this below). I was using a local cable before , as suggested by some hathway users where their tv suffered voltage surge burns I decided to go for the digital tv. Afterall I have spent some moolah on tv. I am yet to decide between airtel and tata sky.
Loaded some movies and videos on usb. Some of them where not upto the mark and I was like disappointed where is the PQ everyone is talking about. The I reworked the aspect ratio and moved to orginal, :o the source is not so great , y blame the tv, then I played this FLV player file in HD file content. OMG OMG I was shocked to see the picture quality, and then I knew I got the right set , ITs just amazing how this tv handles HD content. Next day I got the soft ware upgraded and played HD videos on youtube, WOW WOW WOW, so good it looked . Completely blown away. I think this is an awesome tv wit amazing PQ and blacks. Will add review on SD channels as soon as I get the digital tv set up.

Sounds aren't bad as said in reviews in fact the HD content sounds are pretty good. Yes if a guy speaks with a hot potato in mouth accent or speaks pretty low with lot of base like the Vito Corleone in godfather then the speech isn't very clear ( u may need the subtitles) but the desi talk on all files I played its pretty good I should say including couple of English/ hindi MP3 I played

I didnt find anything very sluggish (again perspective and how patient, I consider myself very impatient though) with smart tv stuff as said in some reviews. Yes it isn't i5 or i7 processor it takes some 5- 8 secs to load you tube app or the browser , but u will forget the wait once u start playing the videos for its PQ :D

I also streamed songs/ videos and photos from my phone on to tv via wifi. Works all good. No sluggishness on song play, but if u stream the photos pretty fast ( each the size of 3 mb +) it takes some time and I mean say 10 sec- 15 second lag at least. And this lag only happens say once u have streamed for say some 10 photos. the first 10 move pretty fast but then the lag catches up. Connected sony xperia via hdmi to tv it works fine though resolution wast right some how - not that it matters to me

My Qs if someone could help me with answers:
1. Will the usage hours be reset to zero if some one had factory reset the tv?
:o I know it is a stupid question though , bcos if it was possible then all the display pieces would have been factory reset and sold as fresh pieces. I didnt want to try it on the tv as I had upgraded the viera version and didnt want to factory reset and lose it. Still would like to know ( Just me wearing the black hat again looking for some conspiracy ;) )

2. The TV has only digital out , then I noticed a HDMI ARC and found after research that if the home theatre system has ARC enabled HDMI then can use this as the output and input between HT system and TV, so needn't use a digital out again back to HT. Is it true ? Also some internet forums stated that for that the HDMI has to be at v 1.4 . IS this TV on v1.4 HDMI? or in short if in future I look out for an HT do I need worry about the HDMI ARC port of the dvd/ Blu ray or HT system or only worry on HDMI out and digital in?

3. How the hell :annoyed: do I get the damn finger prints on the tv screen off? It didnt have any wen I got the tv, now after installation I have plenty of the installation guy

You can use a lint free slightly moist cloth. kindly DO NOT use cleaning solutions available in the market

Have the same set and the performance is awesome for the price. Got the last piece in reliance at Gurgaon at 55,000 with a free reebok suitcase :yahoo:

Oh my god! "anyone overtaking me I suspected to be someone who is going to buy that last piece of E6D." :ohyeah:":lol::lol:

Congrats on the purchase!
Demo 2 after a week on demo 1 : Before this demo I did again research on the net thanks to Hifivision thread ( this one). My heart was with so much +ve reviews around E6. Also I think I have virtually read all posts on google on e6, hd test uk, tech review, techradar, some French and german sites :D , avs forums and god knows what all review sites. The only thing standing against it was the silver bezel I would have preferred the black and the lack of brightness ( but I suspected that the guy who demoed the tv was from LG though he works on croma floor) and high chance that the tv setting is meddled to show LG is better than panny (psst: I know I am just trying some conspiracy theory to buy e6 and blaming it on some poor sales guy :o )
I was initially waiting to buy wen the new models come in april may, but then the prices may not be as low for a 42 inch as now for a new model and then I need to wait for reviews. I didnt have a tv at home and was missing my 1 hr show @ 9 which is better than 24 hrs of tv news shows ( u know whose show I am talking about ). And my better half was missing her romedy movies, we decided to take the plunge

Called Storemanager " come in fast we have the last piece of 42 E6D in the warehouse for all of Bangalore" I trust him as he is some one I know vey personally . Rushed on the car vroom vroom , anyone overtaking me I suspected to be someone who is going to buy that last piece of E6D. :ohyeah:

saw the same less bright panny next to LG , I was in two minds, LG or Panny. I took the remote and changed the colour schemes. MAGIC. Panny looked more or less very much like LG now. So it was after all some setting which made panny look less bright than LG, but yes being IPS LGs colours are balanced than Panny. But panny aint bad at all infact awesome on SD and definitely more sharper than LG. So booked it with a stabilizer and as I was reading about panny warranty not having panel covered etc in this forum decided to go for croma extended warranty for 2 more years for 3 k. So finally I purchased a tv with sub 50 k out of pocket cost ( after using vouchers of 8 k )

Guys..
Finally bought the 42e6d & now using it with tata sky hd. Can any of you(who is already using) suggest the best settings for picture quality??

Any link for the sale and best place to order from. As i have an old Sammy plasma which has a dirty screen that needs cleaning.

So I purchased 2 rca to 3.5mm cable and connected to it to my earphones. Now, there is no sound in my earphones and the sound still comes out of TV speakers. I want TV speakers to go on silent and that sound comes out of earphones.

I also found there are already a set of 2 rca cables connecting my TV to settop box. And I now believe that they are AV in, not AV out. In fact, I think there is no AV out in the form of 2 RCA cables that i just purchased.

Can someone show my in a picture where to connect my 2 RCA cable into TV?

well try these settings for a dimly lit room...if you want a brighter picture you can always increase the backlit....

Did any one got a chance to try Screen Mirroring from smartphone? I tried Swipe and Share with Panasonic App available on Play store but it does not have screen mirroring option and I happen to have Android 4.1.2 on my smartphone which does not have Wireless display option :(

Hi Noni,

Avoid online purchase unless you are very sure about the track record of the seller. Go window shopping and compare before you buy.

Also 32E6D is not in the same league as its elder sibling 42E6D. 32E6D has a IPS LCD display which lacks deep black. Go for 42E6D if your budget permits.

Hi Swarna,

Thanks for your suggestion. Recently I joined this forum and started following this thread. Earlier I was more inclined towards Sony & Samsung but after going through this thread I changed my focus to Panasonic.
Can anyone please help me in buying LED as per my below needs -
1) Budget - 45K
2) Full HD
3) Size - 32" or 40" (Preferably 32")

It would be great If I got SMART TV features but this will not be deciding factor for me

Hi Noni, don't get biased towards any brand. Every brand has their own champions.
These are some of my picks @ your budget.
LG 42PN4500 Plasma,
Samsung 43H4900 Plasma, Sony 32w700b, Toshiba 39P2305.
