what about response time of plasma ?
Me also gonna use for gaming mostly and hook up my PS3
they say there is response time of 86 ms ? wth !!
What where did u get that from ?
Plasma vs LCD TV Response Time
Generally speaking if you are watching content with high speed scenes a plasma TV will offer an advantage versus LCD TV. This is because its response time is lower. This puts the Plasma TV right on top for sports, and games. If you watch fast moving scenes as sports on a LCD TV, you will see a blur around the edges of the moving objects. Note however that if you use to play games a lot of time, a plasma TV is not such a great idea because of it's susceptibility to burn-in. There are LCD TVs on the market now with fast response time, and one could get a model with response time of 5ms or lower. You just have to keep in mind that if crisp picture is important for you, a low response time (high refresh rate) is a feature you should be looking for.
Okay really sorry about that, that was a typo error in my other post, the input lag was .86ms and not 86ms, that is less than 1ms and not 86ms, i forgot to put the decimal and here is the proof as well, again sorry bout that, I tried to edit the Op but couldn't but as you can see from the pics the input lag is very less compared to LCD's and even less when using RGB ~ .64ms.

Okay bout the burn-in, yes you have to be careful when playing games that have permanent HUD's as that can get burned in, but i have played Uncharted 2 MP for 13 hours at stretch and haven't faced such issue, i had kept the contrast at 72 and other setting close to 50, I also ran colour wash 4 - 5 times during those 13 hours and this was inside the first 100 hours of break in period, so just a little precaution and burn in is also nothing to worry bout, but if you are playing single player missions try to run colour wash or whitewash every half an hour or so during the first 1000 hours after that their is a very very rare chance of getting a burn in.
Why there is a difference between the precautions to be taken for Single Player and Multiplayer ?
The answer is, In Multiplayer you usually play for a small amount of time and there is generally a score HUD which can get burned in, but after the game is over which lasts a few mins at the most, you are back to the lobby so that gives the phosphors a break themselves, whereas in Single player there is a continuous play which can stretch for hours, so you have to run colour wash every 30 mins or so for the first 1000 hours. games like Uncharted 2 does not have a HUD in Single player as well so you don't need to run colour wash one single time, i completed the whole story mode in 1 single sitting of 12 hours on my new display which was 80 or so hours into the break in period. But games like RDR or GTA4 have a permanent HUD and should not be played for long hours at stretch.
SO basically what i am trying to say is that phosphors need a break in between, just make sure they get that by whatever method suits your style of play and you are good to go.
