hey few avr does not support AAC+ code. s3400 supports this code or not ? have you tried with this...

How is that Mr Dhruv is offering 23700 with emi and 24000 with cash down. Earlier all his offers on cash down were lower.

Thanks for the concern. Checked with Vijay Sales. Its 1 yr warranty. They have noted sr. nos on bill. As per them Onkyo india would be calling within couple of days for Demo.
I have unpacked the piece and kept it as it is w/o any connection.
Checked te box again. On the box it says -

You should have got it from croma as croma also stocks onkyo. Not sure but you might have got a good deal along with TV.
23700 is for the mega deals of diwali i suppose. The other prices were regular ones as can be seen on the ebay.

I wanted to but the store had a 3300 on display, Sales guys had not even heard about 3400S hence couldnt buy...
20k is anyways an amazing price, will try at Vijay sales @goregaon once back on Wednesday

After listening 3400 for last 4-5 days, I don't think active SW is required. Its just good and I am loving it...

By the way do you have any idea how the emi thing works. I am personally keen on cash down but at the moment its cash down 24000 and emi 23700 - so wondering if emi is a better idea -any idea what is the procedure?

You have to select EMI option check mark at the time of payment. After this selection, next page comes with coupon code with 3/6 months EMI. 6 months EMI has some processing charges(for 23700 charges comes to 592/-) but 3 months EMI is free of any processing charges. EMI available to HDFC/ICICI credit card holders only.
Put ebay discount coupon(HDFC 5% upto 750 or ebay Diwali Offer) and click on order. Hope this helps.

I got it yohoo... bill will be sent today. I will suggest EMI option with 23700, as price wise not much difference, but one can pay in 3 EMIs without loading monthly budgets (unless its a small expense for you)

By the way I had to pay 24000 and not 23700 because that option does not allow for the gift to be claimed. It rejects the DIWALIBY01 voucher. So I guess one can either go emi way or claim the gift.

An update:
Within half an hour of placing a order I got a sms from ebay saying that the order has been shipped the courier is TNT and gave the advice number. It is expected to be delivered latest by 18th Oct. Hopefully the delivery would be earlier.:licklips:
Further update: The TNT website now shows package in Transit.

Congratulations Matie :clapping:... Mine took 2 days due to dussehra holidays...but it was worth the wait. You should get it tomorrow.
You will also get one FREE HDMI cable so best deal ever. Have a chat with dhruv - he will be very happy to help. Do update if you get your bill in the box. I am sure he will courier it separately - as was done in my case.
Though have unpacked it, but will set it up over the weekend. will update you guys later.

The HT s3400 was delivered around 2 pm today :yahoo:
So full marks to Mr Dhruv Tandon (delivery in less than 48 hours from placing the order).
Haven't opened it as yet. Reached back home half only an hour back, might unpack it tonight or tomorrow.

No I didn't talk to him just placed the order. I should have.
There is no HDMI cable in the package as jimmzbond had said and neither is there a bill.
Will contact Dhruv Tandon today.

Looks nice
Produces good output for movies
Not so good on the music front - yet to put it to instrumental music test
HDMI 3D
CONS
Does not pass analog signal via HDMI (Worst feature)
No up-conversion what so ever
The on screen menu is back dated
Overall its value for money only for the amount of sound output it produces atleast for me ( got it for 14+K)
